I tried this vs my audiotechnica xlr mic and honestly didnt see anything special about having this compared to the xlr. It's good but nothing that makes it a must have. Build quality was subpar for its price.

Unfortunately, the software didn't work right - I had an echo whenever I tried using it. Their customer service and technical support were useless and took ~weeks~ to respond, and it was ridiculous things like, "rename your folder" or "make sure your Windows is repaired" (it's a brand new machine!). In the end, nothing worked, and when I asked to return it, they said, "Not our problem - take it back to the store." DO NOT BUY ELGATO PRODUCTS! Try anything else - Logitech, Razer, Blue, HyperX. But if you want peripherals that actually work, with legitimate customer service and support? AVOID ELGATO AT ALL COSTS.

It is always cutting out. If I am doing recordings it is great but the quality for conference calls sucks!

I went, unboxed it, and plugged it in when all of a sudden a error popped up. “Usb devicr not reconized” i tried everything to see what was wrong and it turned out to be the mic that was broken. Although the lights on it and eveything else was lighting up, it just wouldnt get reconized by my pc. I tried plugging it in on my laptop and the same error popped up. Turned out to be the microphone was damaged. I expected more from elgato.

Not good if you want something simple

If you want something that is plug and play and doesn't require tinkering or soundproofing your space then I'd look for another mic or type or mic.

Weak material leads to a poor setup.

One rotation in and everything felt wonky, went to unscrew everything, the base snapped off inside the shock mount. Poor quality. 0/10. Would not recommend.

We don't list this microphone as compatible with any consoles whatsoever, seems like the review may have been incorrectly left if that's the case. The pictures shown are called "lifestyle" pics and how your system could potentially look if that's what you need/want. The mic is also not compatible with just the monitors, the camera, the stream deck, mouse, keyboard either, but we include them since if you do plug them all in, along with the mic, to a compatible device, then you may start having compatibility across your gameplay, etc...
