Switch the kettle ON by pressing the Power Switch. After boiling, the kettle switches off automatically. Disconnect the kettle from the electric supply. (refer to the user manual, if needed)

Smells and tastes like chemicals

I washed it out when I first bought it really well and still smelled. Can't be good for you. The top of the tea pot has a plastic spout, can't imagine it's a good idea to pour boiling water out of it

When using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.

Good deal for the $

The only issue is that you can’t set the temperature-boiling is the only option. I liked a previous one I had where I could set it to 170 degrees or 150, depending on whether I was making a cup of tea or coffee in the French press.

The mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolor. To remove, use Liquid De-scaler, a non-toxic cleaner OR 1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the
remainder with water. Let it stand overnight. DO NOT BOIL! 2. Empty the solution from the kettle, any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with water, bring to boil, then discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will then be ready to use.
3. The outside of the kettle can be wiped with a damp cloth.

I tried to add photos but this website freeze on me when I did. I am going to bring it back to the store!! I am very disappointed!!! I bought another one gave present but will need to let them know!!!

Thank you for the information, depending on the hardness of the water in your area, small spots may appear on the heating element of your kettle when you use it. This is the result of scale build-up on the heating element and on the inside of the kettle. The harder the water, the faster scale builds up. This can be easily cleaned by Filling the kettle with a solution of 50 percent water and 50 percent distilled white vinegar, cleaning vinegar, or lemon juice. Turn on the kettle, bring the solution to a full boil, and then turn it off. Let the kettle sit for at least 20 minutes (longer is fine) before pouring out the solution.
