Overall lasts a good time even without the base charger. I will say you sometimes have to pair the mug depending on which one you want to use. It’s kind of annoying that you cant just switch between the two but overall it’s perfect for slow coffee or tea drinkers.

When the mug is finished I can move to the ember which will still be nice and hot and continue my work for another hour. Expensive cups but ultimate purchases a set for each of our three adult children.
