For one, if you drink your coffee/tea at a regular pace, then these aren't necessary - and if you sip your drink slowly, these only last just over an hour. Meh.

I don’t nurse my coffee (or hot tea) for hours on end, but I do take my time, and the cup loses power in less than 45 minutes—often before I finish a first cup but definitely soon after I pour a second. I like not having to put the cup on a hot plate to keep it warm, but losing power so quickly makes the whole reason for the cup useless. Add the fact that it takes hours to charge, and this was money wasted.
