    Nice For Novelty

    It only goes up to 145, which is ok, but I like my coffee at 155 - 160. The battery only lasts an hour or so unless you keep it on the charger. The cup has no insulation so beverages go cold very quickly. Overall, it works but not for a serious all day coffee fiend like me.

    They are hit and miss, bought multiple ones and one works to this day and another stopped after 6 months, another had to return within weeks.

    I purchased this mug two and a half years ago, another one for my wife. Mi mug is chipping on the inside, I have no idea what I am ingesting. My wife’s stopped working, the app reads 84% battery, but does not keep it hot or warm, it just goes downhill unless it is sitting on the charging cradle. I contacted Ember, they replied they needed the serial number, I sent a picture of it, they then stopped communicating with me. For this price the mug should last substantially longer. I will switch to a different brand.

    Broken software

    Love the concept and the feel of the mug. But it's unusable due to terrible software. The app has only one star due to issues. I've had mine for 7 months and have had to repair my cup to the app every single time I use it. It was a workaround but I could use it. Now, the app won't even open. I've deleted it and reinstalled it and it still says that the app can't open and to close. I've cleared cookies I've done everything. I've contacted support. So now I have a $120 mug that cools off after a few minutes like a normal mug since I can't use the app and it will not heat without it.

    The mug itself works pretty well, although it's battery life is not long. I get about 15 minutes worth of the product working before it indicates it's out of battery. Also, the software is VERY GLITCHY. My app recently stopped working because it stated that a software upgrade was needed. When I clicked to update the software on Google play, nothing happened.

    Says 14oz. Not sure but do not buy if u use large cup on a Kurieg. Will fill to very top and hard to move or take first sip without spill. No room for cream!!! Good for a person who drinks from a pot. Doesn't last long without being on the coaster. Can't take coaster everywhere u go!!! Started drinking coffee at 7:45 this morning. It's only 9:30 and it no longer heats up. This is after a FULL charge. Not worth $130.

As it turns out, our 14oz mug has an expected battery life of up to 80 minutes, but battery life can depend on a number of factors.     Wouldn't honor warranty for defective product

    My daughter purchased this for me from Best Buy as a gift. If it had worked, it would be a nice product. But if you have a problem, the company does not honor their warranty and will make false assertions to avoid replacing it. I used the mug once and thought it was great. Afterward I hand washed and dried it. But the next day it would not do anything at all --- no lights, no heat, it wouldn’t connect to the app or do anything else. It was totally non-responsive. I spent hours trying all of the troubleshooting suggestions from their website including attempting to reset the mug and checking that the contacts on the base are springy and not bent. I eventually found procedures on Facebook to submit a request to Ember’s customer support. It was two weeks before I received a reply which was the first sign of poor customer service. Their email bragged about their rigorous quality testing and made the baseless accusation that I must have microwaved it and therefore the mug’s failure was not covered by warranty. They then had the nerve to offer to SELL me an “out of warranty” replacement. I do not recommend buying this or any other Ember product.

    This product is so poor, my handle fell off on the first day, I guess you could say it was not very good. Honestly way overpriced, I would not even take it for $10 and I don't know why I bought this STUPID HORRIBLE product.

    The mug is pretty and a great idea, but customer support is terrible. I purchased at Best Buy, it started smelling like burning when I had it plugged. I took it back and they said I had 15 days to return it. So I contacted ember directly sent pictures and their response was that the mug had been placed in a microwave! What? who with the right mind that spends 130.00 for coffee mug will place it in a Microwave?? and this was bought for Christmas so it wasn't even used until after the holidays. The company will send me a replacement for 50.00 extended warranty, for that I purchase a new one on sale for 99.00. They have terrible customer support. Not worth the money and the headache.

    Poor customer service

    Got as a gift, after about a year of occasional use 2-3 times a week for 1 cup, it has difficulty connecting to app. Most importantly for the price, bad and unhelpful customer service so I don't feel it's worth the price.

    I drink at least 3 cups of coffee in the morning and like it very warm. This product does not require the cup to be on a pad to stay warm because the battery is in the cup! Once charged it maintains the heat for 90 minutes. Unless you download the instructions to an iPhone, there are no directions. I had to go to Geek Squad to learn how to use.

    Check Better Business Bureau Complaints First

    Don't waste your money. Look at all the better business bureau complaints. Ember did a firmware update that now prevents the mug from working when off the charger. Customer service will initially respond and give you task after task to "fix" it. I think they do this to get you to give up. I provided Ember with great detail of the problem to help them fix it but now they won't even respond.

    Never able to keep connected to the app. Won't hold temperature. I had three of them. Chargers quit working right away. Had to replace all of them. I They all quit working after a year.
