It's definitely not a necessity, and I wish it was a bit more reliable in terms of when it keeps my coffee hot and when it turns off. I'm figuring it out as I use it, and it's nice to come back after an hour or so and find my coffee nice and hot.

I love this cup, my drinks stay at whatever temperature I set for the entire cup down to the last drop!!! This is an excellent gift idea for anyone.

I love, love, love this cup. I can't tell you how many times I get pulled away, come back and my coffe is cold. I decided to buy this cup and I do not regret it. I can come back an hout later and my coffe is just as hot as the first sip. I nolonger am throwing out 1/2 cup of coffee. Loved it so much bought one for my Sister - she loves it jst as much!!

This is at once, one of the best and worst products I've ever had. The concept is 100%. I can't tell you how glorious it is to have the first sip of coffee be just as hot as the last sip. Brilliant! I love it so much. The mug itself is a solid 90%. It feels good in the hand. The handle is decent. The battery life is not bad, and is greatly improved by the accessory lid which is an additional fifteen bucks or so. However. The coaster is an absolute cluster of a design fail from start to finish. They break like crazy, and cannot be easily repaired. Without a coaster, you cannot charge the mug, making the entire thing useless. They do warranty it, but dime to a dollar, your coaster will break 2 weeks past the warranty period. So, in order to charge your very expensive coffee mug, you will need to lay out an extra forty bucks to buy another coaster every so often. So an expensive mug becomes a VERY expensive mug, because of this horrible design by Ember.

I am always complaining because my coffee gets cold before I can drink it. My new Ember mug has changed all of this. I customized my coffee’s temp and it suits me perfectly. Best investment and gift I have had for a long time. So happy with this product!

Love using this cup, give me perfect temperature with tea

I was worried about the day I would eventually drop the mug and possibly watch it shatter. Well that day finally arrived, yesterday, dropping it directly onto my concrete driveway from about 3'. I saw it hit, expecting it to shatter, but it didn't! Still fully functioning with only a couple small scratches. I thought it was ceramic based but it appears to be metal, maybe aluminum, by looking at the scratches.

Very good product and works great, easy to use and worth the money for any one who would like to enjoy their drink for a longer time, or someone who has a lot of multitasking

Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife. It has performed perfectly for her in about a dozen uses thus far. This size is definitely worth it over the 10oz option. It is expensive for a cup, yes, but a wonderful way to keep hot drinks at the perfect temperature. I was able to get it on sale at $100, and that's the price I would wait for again.

I brought this for Christmas for my coworker/friend. She drinks tea throughout our whole shift. Our office area is constantly cool where she has to repeatedly rewarm her tea. I thought this would make the perfect gift. She uses it daily and love that her drink stays at the temp she like. Additional bonus is it works with an app on her phone.

Works wonderfully and keeps temperature . Love how you can sync it to your phone and have it set at a certain time of day and your beverage be ready for when you're ready to be on the go.

I got this mug for my wife for Christmas and she loves it! The app works well and it keeps her coffee nice and hot all day long. It's easy to clean and very solid. Great buy!

My wife has a home office set up with a mini fridge and coffee maker, and when she’s home working, she spends hours on video conferences, and when I happened to drop in on her, I noticed her coffee was often left sitting on her desk partially full. I know she likes hot coffee so I surprised her with this so her coffee will always be hot, and she is thrilled with the results, saying she never realized how much she missed having a hot cup of coffee during the day.

Ordered the blue Ember mug online. Shipping only took a couple days. It works well. The app is easy to use. Having hot coffee or tea from start to finish is fantastic!

Ember works well. Maintains a consistent temperature. Only complaint would be regarding the length of time the cup is able to do so.

Nice product. Keeps coffee hot as advertised. I thought the battery would last longer though. It only lasts an hour, maybe a bit longer. Overall I am happy with the product.
