I adore hot beverages (coffee, latte’s, expresso, teas, coco...) but I don’t like that they generally don’t keep their heat for very long. My mom “especially” doesn’t like anything that’s not very hot! She makes a new cup of coffee, and before even drinking it, puts it the microwave oven to heat it even more. I bought one of these mugs awhile ago to see if it was a solid item. Found out that it was, even better they came out with a second generation version which stays hot even longer! I picked one up for my mom and while hesitant to accept it, truly adores it! As a side note, it’s has a great software addition (no extra cost) that allows you to select a specific temperature and manage its power usage! My heartfelt recommendation is to try this out... if you don’t like it, no problem as Best Buy has a great return policy. I’m confident that like me you’ll adore it. Happy shopping...

Excellent - works as expected. Keeps coffee the desired temperature for as long as I need

I bought this as a birthday present for my adult son. He is a big tea drinker but always lets his tea go cold before he finishes it. He is absolutely thrilled with this cup, which keeps his tea at the perfect temperature until it’s gone!

Love these mugs. I am spoiled by them now, it's so great having my tea at the perfect temperature all the time. Unfortunately, they are finicky and the charging coaster stops working after a while. Still worth it to me.

This was a present for my husband. He like it very much as it keeps his coffee hot throughout even a long meal. It’s convenient and we even take it to restaurants to be guaranteed that the beverage stays hot. However, it’s quite costly and it’s strange that different colors have different, often higher, prices.

Nice cup, keeps drinks hot. You control temp through an app on your phone, which I really do not like. Just like the heat plate on your coffee pot. Don't recommend letting it run too long. Also do not think it actually holds 14 oz. More like 10.

Holy cow, I should not love this mug as much as I do, but I do. It's a total luxury to be able to set your coffee temperature down to the degree and then have it there for more than an hour. I use it every day, and despite the lofty price tag, I have been tempted to buy a second (one for work, one for home). I haven't gone there yet. My only small gripe is that the mug needs resetting once in a while, and the only way to figure out when that is is when you take a sip and find that the coffee is cold (i.e., the mug failed in its one job of keeping your coffee at the right temperature). In that case, you have to go through the typical bluetooth nightmare of re-pairing the mug. I suppose this is a complaint about bluetooth and not the mug, but still, it impacts the experience slightly. But overall, I totally love this mug and what it does. p.s. I've tried one other heating mug. That one worked by having a wireless pad that heads the mug from beneath. It was not nearly as functional as the ember.

Amazing mug. It’s great to have a hot beverage next to me without need to microwave it after sitting for a while. I like that I can set the temperature to what I like and it maintains it for me. Overall, it’s a great mug but a bit pricey.

We originally went for the less expensive 10oz, but don't, it's too small. The 14oz is just about right. Once everything is synced up with your phone this little guy works like a champ. Literally will stay at the exact temperature you set it up. It will increase the temperature up to a higher temp if need be. Exceeded my expectations.

Gave the Ember-Temperature Control Smart Mug-14 oz to my son for a birthday gift. He loves that it keeps his coffee at just the right temperature, due to covid he's working from home and he keeps his house pretty cold in the winter. The Mug makes a perfect gift for a techy coffee aficionado.

If you or a loved one are a hot beverage drinker, this is the best gift ever. I know, you are probably thinking...$150 for a mug is insane. But it's an indescribable joy. Hot coffee. For the whole cup. And for those of you who say you don't have this problem, you probably do and don't even realize it. Because this is piping hot, the whole time. Not just kind of lukewarm when you get to the bottom of the cup. Your last sip is just as good as the first. It's a great gift. It's expensive, but it's a luxury that I don't regret having in my life.

Everything works except the firmware update. I've worked with Ember support and completed all the normal steps like uninstalling & reinstalling the app, clearing cache & data, re-pairing the device. All that works fine. It's just the firmware update that continually fails, and Ember said this is a "Bluetooth Connectivity Problem" and are not covered under warranty. Their responses include: "Connectivity issues are not covered under our one year warranty and we can only offer troubleshooting tips. " and "If these troubleshooting recommendations do not work then there is nothing else that we can do as these issues are not covered under warranty." I asked how they determine this to be a "Bluetooth Connectivity Problem" and not a Mobile App or Firmware problem, and they simply restated their policy that states Connectivity is not covered under their warranty. I gave it a 2-star review because at the moment, the mug itself works fine. At some point, however, as their app gets updated, there's the real possibility that the normal operations, such as reading and setting the temperature, will no longer work with the mug due to the App - Firmware mismatch. This is a surprisingly poor customer service policy for an expensive coffee mug.

I purchased one mug as a Christmas gift for my partner and one for myself. We both love these mugs! The app is very easy to use. The mug is nice to hold; feels good in hand. Finally, our after-dinner tea is held at the right temperature while we watch TV. I highly recommend this product. A suggestion: by the 14 ounce size.

Great cup to keep beverages hot and at your choice temperature. Lasts for over 4 hours off the charger. Sometimes it’s difficult to connect to your blue tooth. Other than that great coffee mug - love it! Would recommend
