Every time I open the app I have to disconnect and reconnect the mug. I cannot set the temperature of the mug. There is a Firmware update available and it fails to install every time I try and run it, Ember support sent me a list of troubleshooting steps which I have followed multiple times from multiple phones, and nothing works as advertised. I missed the 2 week return window and am stuck with this $130 brick.

Good concept, needs a few changes to be optimal

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I like the temperature control and the iPhone app control, but the mug has two shortcomings: first, it is very heavy with coffee in it; 2, the handle is way too anemic for a mug of this weight. I know they want it to look sleek, but it would be much more user friendly if the gripping surface of the handle was more substantial. I end up using to hands to steady it when full.
