I bought this at the end of may 2020 and it stopped working in late August. It will no longer hold a charge, so now its a $130 non heating mug......great. I am now on my 5th or 6th week waiting for ember to send me a replacement. Not the kind of experience that makes me want to support this company in the future....Buyer Beware!

Awful to pair and re-pair for use

Absolutely avoid – doesn't work on any modern phon

The app has 1.6 stars out of 5.0 in the app store. They don't bother working on it, hoping you'll keep the mug and just put it in the cabinet – I'm happy to return it to deprive them of their ill-gotten gain.

Cool but needs better hardware

It warns not to get the contacts wet... but this is a drinking mug and that will happen. So what's the point using it then... Ember redesign this and then we'll talk.

Nice mug but software is poor

She often heats up her tea multiple times in the morning and the ember had the promise of saving her that bit of grief. As it turns out, she had to endure constant re-pairing with the mug as it would lose connection all the time. Not sure if the experience is different on iOS but there shouldn't be on Android

Anything else will likely break the special coating. I wouldn’t be surprised if the special coating was proven to be unhealthy too. This is a dumb product. The simple sup heaters are much better. We got this on sale, but we should have returned it

Missed the return date by 1 day. Great product as I have a travel mug and a copper mug that work great so this one has to be defective
