For non tech savvy people it can be a little difficult figuring how to setup the mug but the process is well worth it. Charging became less dependable until it stopped completely. I noticed the inside contact pin in the charging saucer was no longer extending. With a small tweezer I gently pulled it up set the cup in place. It began to charge. I picked the cup to check if the pin had lifted. Nope. Would charge again unless I brought the pin back up and gently put the cup in place. Researching the issue reveals that this is an extremely common problem. DO NOT ALLOW ANY MOISTURE TO GET ON/IN THE SAUCER! How is that a product that is sold so keep beverages warmed is not waterproof?! Replacement charging coaster are $40 each! Found reviewers that had purchased numerous replacements and all had failed in the same way! DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ON THIS PRODUCT! THE CHARGING COASTER RUINS THE WHOLE INTENT OF THIS THING! THIS THING SHOULD BE USING CONTACTLESS CHARGING. EVEN MY TOOTHBRUSH MAKER HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX THIS ISSUE! A $150.00 ITEM? THE CERAMIC CUP PERHAPS $5.00 T0 MANUFACTURER. THE CHARGING COASTER $2.00 MAX. EXTREMELY CHEAPLY MADE. GREAT IDEA EXECUTED TERRIBLY!

To ensure the best experience with the charging coaster, we recommend ensuring the charging coaster stays dry. If liquid does drip onto the coaster, we would simply recommend wiping the liquid off before continuing charging. Please also ensure the bottom of the mug is completely dry before charging.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The product is a great idea, reducing the need to constantly head to the microwave to warm your coffee, however, the design for recharging the mug is flawed. Having three dimensional pins on the charging coaster come in contact with a mug that is fairly heavy, is a design flaw. I bought two of these mugs, and ran into the same problem with one of the pins being pushed back into the coaster, which prevents the mug from being charged. Returned the item.
