Posted .Thank you for this feedback! We are happy to share the mug can heat without connection to the app. Without pairing, the mug is set to a default temp of 135°F. Once you pour in hot liquid, the Ember will pulse white as it works to the set temp and turn solid white when your preferred temp has been reached.

Not a good product

By May I could no longer open the app and it stopped heating. Will not buy this brand again.
