It loses the Bluetooth connection often and I’ll say more often than not it connected to the base.

Cup worked amazing for the year it worked. Hand washed and dried every time. Cup only lasted a year and maybe a month I contacted Ember all they said was we will give you $22 off a new one without a charger i told then thats it I bought this cup from best buy cheaper then that. Awful customer service! Cup seems like it works it charges and all but no matter what doesnt notice any liquid you pour into it! I highly dont recomend buying unless you want to buy $100+ cup every year or so

Battery doesn’t last very long and the 14oz cup really isn’t 14 ounces . Wouldn’t buy this again.

Definitely improves the coffee experience. Unfortunately, the software is inexcusably bad for something as overpriced as this. Lots of the app being unable to pair with the mug, the mug randomly requests to pair throughout the day after not being touched for hours, the firmware update won't complete, and the led colors won't sync sometimes. I've had to completely reset the mug and reinstall the app a few times and have only had this a month or so.

I received this as a gift from my daughters. The packaging and the mug are very nice. It was a thoughtful gift, I like the idea, but the execution needs some work. The mug connected and updated once to my Android 11 phone but refused multiple connection efforts after that for updates despite following all directions on the website and troubleshooting. The older software on the mug appeared to work OK, but not being to get the next updates for this $150 mug is a 2 star deduction. I'll pair it wih my iphone next if I don't just return it. The base seems a little less quality. it has 2 pogo pins which recharge the battery in the mug. These connection pins sit in a depression that centers the mug and will hold any liquid that might roll down the cup. I'd have expected these to have some accomodation for getting wet,, but they are labeled showing that they need to be kept dry. 2 stars because of these problems at this price point.

Ember does not live up to reviews And promotions. The mug claims to keep beverages warm but buyer BEWARE as it only warms to a max of 135-145 degrees. Barely luke warm and very insufficient for keeping coffee, tea, hot cocoa warm for drinking. Very disappointing!! The mug is sleek and blue color attractive. Handle very thin and mismatch for heft of the mug.

The finish wears off of the mug! I carefully wash with a soft sponge and Dawn and in a little over a year, it looks terrible! They want me to pay $85 for a replacement after paying so much to begin with! It’s 6 months over the one year warranty. A product this expensive shouldn’t wear out in several years, if at all! Defective product, poor warranty, terrible customer service!

A waste of money for me. Bought on 12/14/2022 and doesn't hold a charge anymore, Maybe last 5 minutes before it says to recharge. Tried resetting but that didn't help. Bought online from Best Buy

Got it for Christmas, it’ a junk . I would not recommend it to anybody. Bestbuy should not offer this product in light of all the one stars reviews. It’s an extremely expensive JUNK! I want to give NO STAR , ZERO!

Received as Christmas present, only worked for 6 weeks. Summitted warranty claim. Their reply was "We are currently experiencing longer reply times." I see some people on facebook have no help after 3 months! No help from Bestbuy either.

I received this cup as a Mother's Day gift and loved the idea. I waited about a week before trying it. Setup was simple and I loved the idea of slow sipping my morning coffee at a controlled temperature. Having read the reviews I was very careful with my new gift ensuring the bottom did not get wet abs even waiting just in case before putting on saucer again. The next week I lost the pairing, went through all of the suggested trouble shooting, and nothing, notta, zip. The cup no longer pairs with my phone. Son and daughter-in-law purchased from Best Buy which is why I'm dropping the unfavorable review here.

The charging coasters always stop working and ember will give you 50% off a new one...Really after i payed for it.. Same thing happened 3 times.

Ember does not support their products. Their support will not get back to you despite claiming to have a warranty. You have been warned that you arr about to spend $100 on something that is likely going to become just a regular coffee mug.

My dad didn't have a want/need for this mug. Tried to return it and technically missed the return cutoff by 2 days and they wouldn't budge. wouldn't even give me store credit. all around terrible customer service. it was 2 days. for that reason 1 star.

I love the idea and was so excited to get this for Christmas, but they need to work out all the bugs with the mug and app before it's worth paying this much money. It is the worst about disconnecting from the app, and even when it shows your mug on the screen, it says it can't connect. And the problem is, it doesn't keep anything warm when it's not connected! It has totally stolen my peaceful moment with my coffee trying again and again, and again to get it to work. I even returned one already, thinking it might be just that mug.. but the new one is doing the same stuff.. so you still have to pour it into a micro-safe dish and reheat :(

The mug is great. The app is not. As of 11/30/23 update, app will not open. Mug is useless without the app

It is too heavy for most people and the directions are too complicated even for tech people.
