Its not a deal breaker by any means though as it still works without this connection. I do enjoy having a cup of coffee stay warm for 30-40 minutes. Which is how long the battery will last. There also is an update to the software as I always get notified when I open the app, however it crashes every time I try to update. It could use some improvements but its still a buy.

My only complaint so far is that the app won't update and it keeps disconnecting and this is somewhat frustrating. For a smart mug its lacking and for the price you just get an expensive cup warmer until the bugs on the app are fixed.

For a couple years he has been hinting around for me to get him this mug. I wasn't sure it's so pricy, and sometimes they aren't worth it. Will this one is still going. My husband does IT work and often forgets to drink his coffee if he is busy so it's cold. This cup keeps it worm till he can get to it.
