I've been using this mug for nearly a month now, and I can honestly say it is the greatest splurge I've ever allowed myself! It will keep my coffee piping hot for about an hour and a half away from the charger. I keep the charger near where I sit "most" of the time for my coffee time, and using the charger as a coaster, it will keep it hot as long as it's there. Using the app will allow you to choose the perfect temperature preferred. I believe 140 F is the max, but I've found 135 to be my sweet zone. If you use creamer, I highly suggest spending a bit more for the 14 oz option! I make 10 oz of coffee with my Keurig and with the cream added, 14 oz is the perfect size. I absolutely LOVE this mug!

Works excellent and great size for coffee to stay warm

This is a very cool piece of technology. If you can wrap your head around a $130 coffee mug this does a great job keeping your coffee as warm or piping hot as you want it to be. I do notice that the battery life after being removed from the charge pad at a full charge does not last more than a couple of hours, so the best way to use this is to use it constantly with the pad to ensure it stays on. The mug does not insulate the coffee any more than a normal mug once the heating element is turned off. Overall, worth it if you can keep it on your desk and it will keep coffee hot all day. Otherwise, you may be better served with an insulated travel mug like a Yeti or some brand of that sort.

Love these mugs. I am spoiled by them now, it's so great having my tea at the perfect temperature all the time. Unfortunately, they are finicky and the charging coaster stops working after a while. Still worth it to me.

Really surprised at this Heated mug. My wife has been asking for one for a few gift occasions, and I always thought they were silly. Well I got her one for Christmas finally - and she loves it! She uses it all the time- it’s the only mug she uses at the house (still uses travel mugs). But these are so cool that I’m convinced and want one for myself. I’m going from thinking they were silly to asking for one for my birthday!!! Would expect others would be sold like me. A great gift idea as it may not be something someone would splurge on for themselves

I got this mug for my wife for Christmas and she loves it! The app works well and it keeps her coffee nice and hot all day long. It's easy to clean and very solid. Great buy!

Every sip is like the first, fresh, warm and freaking exhilarating. This cup is amazing. It truly provides "the perfect sip" every time. Only problem is the battery goes dead relatively quickly... approx 90-120 minutes. I'm a 2-3 cup guy. The first 1-2 cups go down in the first two hours I'm up. Then I kind of slowly drink the 2nd or 3rd cup until about 10:00 -11:00 am.

I love the Ember Smart mug. This is my second one, had to buy another one cause my first one stopped holding a charge and I had keep it on the charging base. That one was 5 years old so it was to be expected. I'm a sipper and I'll sip on one cup for at least two hours and to have the temperature constant is awesome!! And I can take it all over the house, it doesn't get any better. That is what Ember does. I highly recommend.

I was worried about the day I would eventually drop the mug and possibly watch it shatter. Well that day finally arrived, yesterday, dropping it directly onto my concrete driveway from about 3'. I saw it hit, expecting it to shatter, but it didn't! Still fully functioning with only a couple small scratches. I thought it was ceramic based but it appears to be metal, maybe aluminum, by looking at the scratches.

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Keeps my coffee hot and is easy to clean/use. The only 2 compliants I have is that when the level of coffee in the cup gets low, it seems to overheat it which causes a bit of burnt taste and that the Ember app on Android will sometimes just not work correctly, requiring disconnect/reconnect or uninstall/reinstall. The app isn't needed all the often as you can just set your desired temperature and leave it.

Mother's Day replacement for white Ember that bit the dust after two years of HEAVY USE. Wife LOVES LOVES LOVES her Ember and wouldn't drink coffee any other way. Blue Ember on sale for a price I've never seen before. Easy pickup and perfect for wife for Mother's Day.

The app is very easy to setup. Works well and keeps coffee warm. Only con is it isn't dishwasher safe.

This is at once, one of the best and worst products I've ever had. The concept is 100%. I can't tell you how glorious it is to have the first sip of coffee be just as hot as the last sip. Brilliant! I love it so much. The mug itself is a solid 90%. It feels good in the hand. The handle is decent. The battery life is not bad, and is greatly improved by the accessory lid which is an additional fifteen bucks or so. However. The coaster is an absolute cluster of a design fail from start to finish. They break like crazy, and cannot be easily repaired. Without a coaster, you cannot charge the mug, making the entire thing useless. They do warranty it, but dime to a dollar, your coaster will break 2 weeks past the warranty period. So, in order to charge your very expensive coffee mug, you will need to lay out an extra forty bucks to buy another coaster every so often. So an expensive mug becomes a VERY expensive mug, because of this horrible design by Ember.

Docked a star for the price, but if you're willing to spend the money, this mug is amazing! Nothing like having hot coffee at your desired temp for hours if you choose (by using the charger as a base). Using silicone spoons to stir due to the endless number of peeling reviews out there, but no issues so far

I've had my Ember for about 2 months and use it everyday! As someone who always has to get up and leave their desks, it can take up to 2 hours for drink my coffee. I would normally come back to lukewarm coffee which no one likes. Now my coffee is always at the right temperature. The one drawback is that the battery only lasts about 80 minutes and at which point it stops heating. Not that big of a deal for me as I have the charger right on my desk, but if your charger is not near by that might be an issue.

It is the best at keeping your coffee hot without have a lid. Works great. It’s expensive but after using it on a cold morning it’s worth it
