The coating of the White mug in particular is not durable at all. Scratches so easily inside and out. Got stained by a tea that had tumeric in it.

For best care and maintenance, we would recommend rinsing the mug soon after use and using mild dish soap and a soft cloth when hand-washing. We also suggest using a wooden spoon or plastic/silicone utensils, as they will cause less damage than a metal spoon. No longer charges, dead battery after 1.5 years

The battery cannot be replaced at all. For something that costs $150, this is unacceptable. Do not recommend unless you have money to throw away. Also Ember's support is nonexistent, they will not answer your email for weeks to months.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my wife for Christmas hoping it would make her life just a little nicer by keeping her coffee warm while she completes all of the tasks she takes care of every morning. Instead, this mug has just become another source of frustration. The switch to turn this thing off and on is located on the bottom of the mug instead of on the outside of the cup where the user can see it and use it while filled with steaming hot coffee. I don't know about you but the last thing I want to do is try and keep a piping hot cup of coffee from spilling on me while trying to balance it above my head while fumbling around with a switch on the bottom of the cup. In addition to re-locating the switch to the side of the cup they should change it to a sliding type switch that is either on or off instead of the type of switch currently employed which requires one to repeatedly press the switch a number of times to turn it on and a different number of times to turn it off. Likewise, you shouldn't have to put an app on your phone in order to set the temperature. Just put a slider switch on the side of the cup. Bottom line; they made this thing way more complicated than it has to be. Currently, it takes anywhere from five to ten minutes to get this cup to pair with your phone and by then, your coffee is already cold. I guess we can repurpose this thing into another boat anchor. Caveat emptor.

Not sure why

Have been emailing customer service from past 3weeks with all necessary details but they just would not respond! Never have i ever experienced service like this.. Pathetic!!
