The battery only lasts about an hour, so it's never far from the charging base anyway. The one light, one button design is a real pain and makes it difficult to tell if the mug is on or off because there doesn't seem to be a way to completely turn it off. The light will pulse if I move the mug at all, even when not actively warming. There's no battery indication on the mug itself, you have to use the clunky app. The charging base isn't waterproof, so be careful of any spills. And instead of using wireless charging it uses two metal contacts that have to line up exactly with the mug.
