Nowhere in the instructions is this listed. I am not sure if the product is meant to have steam coming out from around the door, but there is a lot of condensation on the far right controls on the front. I would not be surprised if this does not work for very long as that cannot be good for electronics. It cooks really well though. The arifrying is fantastic and makes great fries!

I have 5.2l basket style in same brand that seems to heat faster than this one but dehydrate function is great on this one and overall it works good. Both same wattage of 1800
