  • DANGEROUS. Faulty Latch Causes Safety Risk & Burns

    After 6 months the latch which holds both pieces of the basket together failed mid-use, causing it to separate in two and sending an entire basket of hot oily food crashing down onto my floor and splattering me with grease. The plastic cover which protects the latch release button from accidental bumps was still engaged, so this wasn't a user error. After I cleaned the grease and food off my kitchen floor and my arms, I tested the basket and found that it now separates from slight movements even when it's completely empty. When I contacted BestBuy about this safety issue they refused to offer any assistance, since it's been more than -15 days- since I purchased the appliance. I'm shocked that this company would sell a defective item which could cause serious injury when it ultimately fails, and particularly disappointed that they don't want to take any responsibility for it.

    i have only tried frozen food in it so far such as chicken strips and tater tots. They did come out crispy just like being deep fried without the oil
