Toxic outgassing - my lungs hurt & food affected!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While the Emerald air fryer appears to be of sturdy build and long lasting, the outgassing from the chemicals used to coat the metal surfaces makes it a very poor choice for anyone who wants their air to remain clean and their food to stay uncontaminated. My lungs actually started to hurt because the outgassing was so intense, and equally bad, I had to throw away two batches of food because everything ended up tasting heavily of the same chemical that was outgassing. After THREE HOURS of running the unit in a closed bathroom with the exhaust fan on, the unit was STILL outgassing the nasty vapors and again contaminated my last batch of fries. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL MANUFACTURING. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT.
