Stick with the oil.

I did however use it like a convection oven and made a great pork chop. Why this is called a fryer is beyond me. I would not recommend one of these. Also my pork chop was not completed in the time the directions said I put it in for another 5 min so a total of 17 min to get the pink out. Could have done it on the grill just as healthy and tasted better in 9 min.

My first air fryer

I’ve tried fries and some dumplings and other small foods, usually takes longer than preset minutes. When finally done cooking though, food tastes great.

Then one day I was cooking in it and mid cook the air fryer just shut down. I thought maybe it had overheated and tried it again the next day and nothing would happen. The control button doesn’t light up, it won’t beep or doing anything! I’m very disappointed, now they won’t even let me return the item. DO NOT BUY.

Stopped working after first use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it delivered today and was excited to use it. Made fried okra as soon as it came out the box. It cooked great but as soon as I was going to make a batch of fries five minutes later, it would no longer turn on. I tried different power outlets, checking for loose seals on the lid and a loose cable hookup but nothing made the machine come back to life. I guess there's a reason I've never heard of Emerald products before. Returning it tomorrow.
