Not as good as the book, but well worth the watch.

It was good enough considering the large cast of children with the adult cast not getting in the way too much and giving them the right support. Overall it was an entertaining futuristic fantasy film.

It was an overall good action fantasy film even with a large cast of children with the adult cast not getting in the way but lending the needed support for the older audience members.

Maybe, just maybe, if you've never read the book you could enjoy this movie. For anyone else who has read the book it quickly becomes clear the director, producers, and anyone else involved on this film did not. Valentine is completely downplayed and Peter all but nonexistent. As such the ending is completely different, and ruined, compared to the novel. All characters besides Ender are downplayed and really only given lip service so they could say "hey I was in the movie". The pseudo love interest between Ender and Petra (the only other character given tons of focus) was non-canon and uninspired. Dialogue was copy/pasted by an idiot apparently so that things were out of context or made up entirely. They have the core elements of the novel, but none of the nuances that go along with it. I was absolutely disappointed with this film. They stretched a movie about someone walking to a volcano to destroy a ring out over three movies, they easily could have done the same here to preserve the novels integrity. Only semi-good thing; pretty scenery of space and planets.

was hoping for a better story/flow to the movie decent movie just not great

One of the few movies that needed 3-D filming, and it isn't - it is flat 2D. Get the Book, it is so much better!
