Why not sold as single pack?

It does what it is supposed to. I wild have preferred that the battery was available as a single pack instead of double. I am unsure if the second battery will last unused until needed.

I love that I can stop by best buy and pick up these harder to find batteries. Energizer batteries have always been reliable and these are no different. I use these for my car fob.
