    Very good battery for garage door opener; only reason this is not 5 stars is that the expiration date/shelf life was only 2 years away. It was very hard to find this battery at the store; even a manager had a hard time finding it.

    They are new batteries. They replaced almost dead batteries. Energizer is a top brand name -- we'll see how long they last. I can say this positive: Best Buy was the fourth store we went to but the first to stock this less popular size of battery.
