    The important thing about batteries is not having them on the shelf too long. These were dated way way out so when I use one I know the other one will be okay on the shelf for quite a while.

    When you need size 2016 batteries, you don't have many alternatives. Make sure to get enough of them, as my garage remote needed two of these very slim items stacked together. And don't try substituting for two of these, one of a different variety that is the same diameter and twice the width, but still only 3v.
