I buy these batteries once a year to replace the batteries in all my smoke alarms. They always last reliably over the year, so I'm not always replacing this or that one during the year.

I was in the Best Buy store for something else and remembered that I needed a 9 volt battery for my smoke alarm. I found the well stocked battery section and conveniently picked up the 9 volt that I needed. One stop shopping.

Reasonably priced at store and good battery to use for replacement in fire alarms. However, there are 9V's made by Energizer for that specific purpose. Stores charge lasts close to advertised duration.

Energizer batteries are better than other brands of batteries, especially for “always on” medical equipment.

I've never purchased a more reliable 9V battery. We use them for all our smoke and CO detectors/alarms. The five year batteries eliminate the yearly changing of the batteries as well.
