This has all the bells and whistles I needed to manage the charge of the batteries.

After about 4 hours they are about 50% depleted. I would buy extras if you shoot longer than 4-6 hours.

I am doing photography with 2-3 remote flashes. Each flash requires 4xAA batteries and they run out. If I were buying fresh batteries i'd go broke
