Batteries were a great price for my whole house of remote controls. I like batteries that last a long time and so far these doing that!

I don't really have any brand loyalty between the 2 big battery companies, but Energizer does have a catchier ad campaign, and they're batteries tend to be a smidge cheaper. Otherwise they're just batteries, I know the lithiums do work a lot longer, but I've never been able to find them in proper bulk, so I settle for these. If you just need a few batteries though, I'd say grab lithiums.

I've used these Energizer batteries in our grandson's toys and they seem to last longer than the non-max batteries. Happy with their performance.

If your buying batteries in 2018 you need energizer lithium which not only last longer but are more powerful ,Ill explain we got a swiffer wet jet (it has 2 jest the squirt cleaner on to your floor ) well with these basic batteries the jets dribbled out so of course i though it was broke and returned , now on the 2nd one ... SAME i was like what the .... so I said maybe they are dead from the store even though we just bought them . I have some lithium #4 s they are like 6% for 4 double A's well i stuck them in and the jets went about 7 feet each so proof positive more powerful and longer lasting . I even use them in remotes and mu optical arc mouse and they last about a year and that's 4x longer than standard . I have smart devices so you can talk to your tv thru the remote , and pick what you want by voice and lg remotes are like mice for computers they move around and let you click on options and make it very easy to type and use I rec.
