    This has always been a great unit for both sound quality and volume (amps per channel). DVD platens are milled aluminum, not pressed plastic. Only regret is that there is no timer to turn itself off after so much playing., Except for that, it would be FIVE STARS.

    These are rechargeable batteries. I use them for flashes and triggers in my home studio. They work as intended. But I have noticed that a couple of batteries (I have several AA and AAA)drain much faster than others.. I'm thinking this is to be expected when you have a large quantity of them like I do.
