I went with these batteries and they appear to be doing well.

The batteries charge fast, hold the charge, good value !

They cost almost double the amount of normal batteries however, I have been using the same ones for 2 years now and have been saving money buy not buying "one use and done" batteries. Over the 2 years they seem like the charge doesn't last quite as long but, still cheaper than normal batteries if I had to replace them every time I charged them.

They just work. Battery life is solid. Used for remote controls. Charge time is just fine. Previous Energizers lasted a real long time and actually still work.

Yes rechargeable batteries are a bit more up front but i think I saved over a $100 with them compared to traditional batteries.
