It is hard to find something to recharge these larger batteries in.

These batteries do not seem to last as long as the AAs or AAAs.

I was surprised as to how light these D cell batteries were and then I discovered that the capacity are much lower then other class D rechargeables out there. I didn't return, yet not recommended due to low capacity.

I dont know which is the problem; either these batteries or the charger for them but neither work great at all. We have exchanged both and tried many times but regardless of the charger saying they are fully charged the batteries only last for about 30 minutes or less.

I was shocked to notice how low the battery capacity was for these batteries. Most "D" cell rechargeable batteries are around 8500-10500 mAH. these are only about 3500 mAH.

These batteries are trash if you see using them for anything that potentially runs more than a hour on and off throughout the day. I was recharging these every 2 days. Best Buy won’t accept return as they are considered a perishable item, which I understand. Amazon has rechargeable D batteries ay 10,000mAh, 5x the power of these. Donation or recycle they go!

These D batteries basically has the same storage as their AA battery like it’s AA battery disguised as D battery. That’s terrible!!!

Short life and can’t get charged enough to work well in place of single use batteries. Unfortunately you don’t learn that until you drain them, charge them, and try to reuse and they don’t work well (which is passed the return window).

Batteries were OK I guess, I am not happy with how much charge they hold.

They are terrible at holding a charge. Last only a half a day where a regular Duracell lasted two months on my kitchen faucet.

The D size batteries don't hold a charge nearly as long as the same brand smaller size batteries.

batteries should of come precharged. can't expect to get them and use them within the same hour.

I sense energizer is not what it use to be. Their products are ok, but previous products were better.

After one use they won't hold a charge. Less than half battery life after one use. I expect better from Energizer!

The cell are not good, charged them for a whole day but at the end back to zero. Don't buy..

In response to the short lifespan between charges I offer this. If you look at the mAh rating of these, they are only 2500 which is similar to that of a good AA rechargable battery. These, as are most others, are merely a AA battery in a D shell. What you need is a D cell that is at least a 10,000MAh rating. That will equate to a regular D cell battery that you would expect. You can Google 10,000mAh D cell on the internet and find multiple places that have them.
