The energizer lithium batteries deliver the exit-power speed that the cameras need. They do not last as long as duracell; however, the duracell batteries do not deliver the boost energy needed by the camera for a quick focus. The Duracells are good for smoke alarms where you need relatively low energy output over a long period of time.

Plus I bought them on sale so I only paid $1 more than the standard energizer. If you can find them on sale they are definitely worth it. At full price - maybe.

I have tried using regular alkaline batteries and the system does not recognize them and won't work. These batteries last me for 6-months and so they are worth the price and peace of mind.
