It has a longer life it the product. And it doesn't weather. (My camera is outside) Even though it is a little more then regular battery's its still at a great deal at best buy. Comparing to other stores.

The voltage is measured higher than 1.5 VDC close to 1.7 VDC. It actually still works below the 1.5 VDC. I use the batteries in my remote controls such as my cable box. I use it in my remote temperature sensors. Lasts more than a year even during a cold winter months.

I went home and switched out all batteries in my remote controls and don't plan on having to switch for a long time. I usually grabbed dollar store batteries and found myself switching quite often. Hope this purchase pays off!
