They are batteries. They do what batteries are supposed to do. Had to buy lithium for the wireless freezer thermometer/alarm - the readout was unreliable with alkaline due to the low temp in there. This stopped the false alarms. Would upgrade to 5 stars if it last long enough to justify the much higher cost.

While your common Alkaline battery can leak when left in a device for a long period of time, Lithium batteries are based on a different chemistry that does not leak. So you can leave them in your battery operated devices on a long term basis without concern of leakage. Energizer is the market leader for lithium batteries in the USA, so this is the one to get.

I purchased these batteries specifically for an indoor/outdoor temperature gauge. Regular batteries don't last in the cold weather in Maine. These batteries have been in the device outside my front door and have been working without interruption for the past year. I expect many more days and nights knowing the outdoor temperature while I'm inside.
