bought for graduation
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this one after reading reviews and questions. I wanted something you could see with bright light. Needless to say you could barely see the picture. I was disappointed when I was charged a stocking fee to return it.

Aptly named flexible projector, with compromises
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson EpiqVision Flex is an interesting collection of compromises to produce an excellent projector at an excellent price for some use cases. What compromises do you ask? Well, limited inputs, limited placement flexibility, lots of heat, and pretty basic features to name a few. But does cutting some of the fat produce a product that’s worthy of praise? I believe it does. First of all it’s important to note that Epson’s 3LCD tech is still extremely praise worthy. In 1080p form, it’s got a gorgeous picture at appropriate viewing distances, and even up close, the screen door effect is almost entirely negated. Compared to older Epson 1080p projectors, this one offers extremely superior picture. Furthermore, compared to cheaper DLP projectors, you don’t have to worry about rainbows or other visual artifacts - the picture is as stable as you would expect from LCD. There is a bit of a sacrifice in black levels, that despite the cinema preset, and ECO mode, you will still deal with. That said, the main use case of this projector is probably not going to be your cinema room. Why not use this as a dedicated cinema projector? Well, the first big con you find on this projector is that there is no real optical adjustment. While I would fault some Epson projectors for sporting minimal if any lens shift, almost every project I’ve had from Epson has sported at least optical zoom of some sort. The lack of optical zoom means that the picture size is exclusively determined by how close or far the projector is from the projection surface. Digital zoom exists, but at the compromise of picture quality. The same is true for keystoning, which happens automatically when using the built in stand, but also means you’re looking at a 1080p image that’s been reshaped on the projector’s 1080p screen to fit within the bounds necessary for keystoning. Ok, that was a lot of projector detail in that last paragraph; what does it mean to you? Well if you’re an aspiring home cinema projector enthusiast, you may want to pass on this unit. While offering an excellent picture, it’s just going to be a lot of compromises or a lot of math to figure out the perfect level and distance to use this projector. It can be done, but you’d be better served spending a bit more on something with better placement flexibility. No this projector is targeted at a different audience; portable use. Now for portable use, this projector makes a ton of sense. Not only is it small for the projection power, but it offers pretty simple operation and would be great for outdoor parties, office parties, or pretty much anywhere where a permanent installation isn’t the primary use case. Auto keystoning makes it dead simple to get the vertical picture correct, and as long as you’re placing it straight on and have flexibility with projector distance the picture size and quality is great. The projector is plenty bright enough to make a 100” projection with decent ambient light work, and if you can project at night, ECO mode only slightly cuts the light output. The lamp itself is rated at 6000 hours in normal and 12000 in eco, so it’s practically maintenance free (which is good, because I don’t see lamp replacement instructions in the manual). Couple the portable use case with Android TV, and you’ve got a powerful little streaming party box. The Android TV streaming stick is excellent and handles the task of streaming quite well. This is light years better than Android TV performance of yesteryear. Netflix loaded up quick and streamed well, as did HBO Max. Interestingly, unlike some previous models, which featured “built-in” android TV, this projector simply ships with the streaming stick ready to plug in. Some of Epson’s previous models would have the streaming stick already installed and hidden away, but Epson is honest about there being only 1 HDMI input on this projector - which is a limitation. Not only that, but the cover doesn't really allow you to keep it on if you use some other device/cable that doesn’t fit in the space provided. That really isn’t a problem, but a bit of a limitation. The included remotes use IR or bluetooth depending on which one. The black Android TV remote is really for the stream stick. It uses bluetooth and thus doesn’t care which direction you point it. The Epson remote (white) allows you to control features of the projector and the streaming stick as well. Using HDMI CEC it works quite well - making either remote viable, although you’ll only get microphone support from the Android TV remote (if you use it). As far as projector images features, you can control brightness, contrast, and color settings using the white remote. I recommend setting Eco mode on (if you use it at night or in dark settings) which will turn the fan down quite a bit, and Cinema color mode for a more accurate focus on colors (although the default Vivid will make some people happier - YMMV). Speaking of the fan, it’s loud enough to be annoying a few feet away on Normal, but Eco mode makes the fan noise much less annoying. None of this matters if the projector is more than 3-4 feet away really. As far as sound goes, the internal speaker is quite capable for what it is. Gone are previous models speaker rattles - as this one provides clear and distortion free sound up to the max volume. By no means is this a theater sound, but it will pass in an office setting or inside. Outdoors, you’ll want to pair a bluetooth speaker with the Android TV box for audio output, making for a much more flexible audio arrangement. Overall, for the price and its niche, the EpsonVision Flex is a super capable projector that offers quite a bit of image quality at a bargain price. Included are a lot of Epson’s notable features like auto keystoning and amazing picture quality, but they come at the cost of projector placement flexibility, and general inputs/outputs on the projector itself. That means the projector is aptly and ironically named - Flex - because it’s meant to be more of a flexible utility projector more than a Home Cinema or even business projector. Highly recommended when used appropriately.

HIDDEN FEE IF RETURNED
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product to test out for an outdoor viewing area at the recommendation of a best buy online employee. He said if it didn't work for my area to return it within time period for a refund. I returned it a few days after purchase as it wasn't bright enough for the area only to be hit with an unknown $75 restocking fee. Now I'm in the depths of chats trying to get this resolved. Probably won't. Very disappointed.

Great portable projector!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a really nice portable projector - it does everything you want and does it in a great way. While not "small" per se in the grand scheme of the world, the projector is definitely on the smaller side for projectors in it's class and brightness. Anything smaller would likely be a pico projector and have a small fraction of the brightness (and likely be significantly louder to boot). It's also fairly lightweight, which makes it easy to move around (hence the portable part) or to mount if you're looking for a more permanent placement. While it may be small in size, this projector definitely punches about it's weight class in picture clarity and brightness. It's light output is tremendous for it's size at over 3,000 lumens while still being quite quiet and very compact - that's enough lumens that I can easily see the screen contents and details even in a brightly lit room. The included Android stick is a nice touch and a nice way to incorporate "smart" functionality that can be upgraded as technologies change (or needs change) vs an integrated smart feature set. It's quite easy to set up as long as you have high speed wifi (any broadband connection should do) and you can quickly link it to your favorite streaming services/online content providers. You also get access to the Google Play store to install new apps if you'd like. The stick performed quite well and the interface and video playback was snappy and flawless. There are a few small downsides. It's technically not compatible with ceiling or wall mounts (though you could put it on a shelf, I suppose). And it does only have one HDMI in - which is by default occupied by the included Android TV stick, but can be used with any HDMI device or cable - and one USB in which isn't much in the realm of connectivity. You also do end up with two remotes, though in fairness that's a similar situation to any other time you would have a "display device" (i.e., a TV or projector) and a "content source" (like a streaming stick, cable box or such). On balance, because it's a portable projector / marketed as such, I wouldn't lose much sleep over the small downsides. For what you get in the image/brightness category and the strong out of the box Android TV features - particularly at this price point - I can strongly recommend this projector if you're looking for a lot of bang for your buck / to take the projection fun on the road!

Too difficult, lacks basic features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super disappointed - no easy way to play files from your computer via SD or USB, bluetooth doesn't work from speakers. The details on this are, to me at least, very vague. These are the only literal functions we need from a projector so this one will be going back. The people giving this rave reviews are obviously using it for a different setup than me!

Great portability and great picture
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Included- Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 Full HD 1080p Smart Streaming Portable Projector, Android streaming stick, power cord, remote controls, batteries and Quick setup guide The setup was very easy and didn't take more than a few minutes. There is a side cover you need to remove to connect the cables. Push down on the tab and remove the cover. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port and the USB cable and then connect those cables to the streaming media player. Put the cover back on. To power up you can either press the power button on the projector or on the remote. Adjusting the picture height is simple by pressing the button in front of the projector and the leg can be adjusted. To reduce or enlarge the image press menu button on the remote control and then follow with left or right. To sharpen the image, turn the focus ring. There will be on screen instructions to connect the media player, pair the remote control and set up the TV. It has a suggested list of apps to download once you sign in. Once you sign into the apps you're all set. So one of the pros is also a con. The Epiqvision Flex projector is smaller and compact in order to be portable. But because it's made to travel, it is not mountable. I wish there was some type of travel bag that came with but you will have to provide one. The sound is alright. If I was using this long term I would run the sound through a sound system. For presentations meetings it will be fine. The picture quality was great. The Epson projector is a full 1080p picture and boasts a brightness of 3000 lumens. I had no problem seeing the picture even without complete darkness. This projector will make any meeting, show, game or movie better and more enjoyable to watch.

The complete package!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great portable projector that comes with features I've never had with a projector before. The Epson EpiqVision Flex is small, lightweight, and extremely bright. I was amazed at how clear the picture quality was! The projector comes with an android streaming stick that lets you watch all your favorite content via wifi. The streaming stick is also hidden away in a compartment in the side of the projector. The system comes with two remotes. One is for the projector and the other is for the streaming stick. There is also a built in speaker that jas pretty impressive audio, especially considering its built into a projector! The only part that was mildy Irritating was the setup of the streaming media stick. It was supposed to link up to my email account for almost immediate activation. This, however, did not work as well as I had hoped it would. The device loaded for awhile but never would link to my account. It had trouble connecting to wifi. Once I skipped the registration and went into the media stick menu I was then able to get ot to connect! This device really is the complete packages! Video, audio, and streaming service all built into one desirable package! It would be a great addition to any family!

Good portable smart projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Epiqvision Flex CO-FH02 is a smart full HD 1080p projector that could be used at the home or office with ease. To call the projector a smart projector is a little stretch because it is smart through the use of an android dongle that you must install bu plugging it into the 1 HDMI port on the projector. The dongle is then powered by the USB port located under the same panel where you find the HDMI port. Without this USB dongle plugged in the projector has no smart capabilities. Since there is only 1 HDMI port you are limited to using the android tv dongle or plugging in an alternative hdmi device. There is no Auxiliary input for sound output so you must either connect a speaker via bluetooth or get creative and use a reciever or soundbar that have HDMI pass through since the projector only has 1 HDMI. The one advantage to not having the smart capabilities built into the projector is that it will never be obsolete since you can always upgrade the dongle. The projector is plenty bright at 3000 lumens and the 1080p HD picture was very clear on my 120 inch screen. The projector has 2 separate remotes since there is 1 for the dongle and one for the projector. This by no means is a projector you would use in setting up a home theater however it is a great option for a backyard movie night or projecting your game system on the wall of your game room.

Satisfied
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had wanted a projector for outside when we have company to watch games or movie night or for when the kids wanted to play video games. We have really enjoyed the Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 Full HD 1080p Smart Streaming Portable Projector, the picture quality and color are awesome but did take some adjustments to get it right, the volume was weird at first it comes with a built in speaker but it seemed to go only so loud but boyfriend figured it out so it comes with two controllers one white which is mostly for setting the projector up and has volume control we tired that all the way up and then the black one he used for the volume also which we found accidentally that makes the volume go even louder if you turn all the way up with the white control first very weird. It only come with one usb outlet so connecting external speakers was a no go couldn’t figure out how to connect wireless Bluetooth speakers as of yet. But other then those two issues it’s was a quick and easy set up, also comes with a what’s called a dongle that turns it into a smart android tv has a port to plug that in, that is pretty cool Netflix comes in with awesome pictures & game graphics were also satisfactory, we did place it on top of a box to have a better tilt angle to get the perfect fit on the wall we were using as a screen it does have front adjustable legs but not back ones but not really a big deal, like with any projector it’s best picture is in a darker lit room or very dimmed lights. But over all we’ve been extremely happy with the projector and screen size was best when placed about 4-5 feet from screen that it will being playing on.

Nice Projector for all uses!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 full HD 1080p Smart portable projector comes loaded with all the entertainment via Android Tv that we all love. But also a few things not so great. It offers done in 1080P video, which blew me away. It also has an advanced adaptive color correction system, which I think is what adds to the clarity of every image. It also comes with Android TV, which gives you access to popular entertainment apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Amazon prime, and others via the Android play store. The speaker here is pretty good, but just a tiny speaker. I liked that with the Android TV stick, you can connect Bluetooth to wireless speakers, sound bars, and headphones. It has a remote included for that as well, so it may be for easy setup of Android TV. One of my only downfalls with this one was that it only had one HDMI port which means you have to open the side panel and remove the Android TV plug-in to use other media devices such as Blu-ray players, DVD players, or computers. This one is perfect for everything from backyard movie nights to big office presentations. It's bundled with everything you need to get started, so even if you have a nice wall, you're up and going movie time. It boasts 3,000 lumens of color, which are excellent. Check this one out for yourself.

Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 Projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What is included in your purchase. EPSON EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 1080p projector Android streaming stick Micro USB Cable HDMI Extension Cable Power Cord Android remote with batteries Projector remote with batteries Quick Start Guide Setup using the quick start guide was quick and easy. The quality of the picture is high, up to nine feet. The built-in speakers are ok, you can add a Bluetooth sound bar or speakers. The Projector itself does not have Bluetooth; you would have to use the Android TV streaming stick. The Android TV function is not built-in to the projector, thus the two remotes. There are only 1 HDMI and 1 USB position available in the projector. If you needed to add a different input source, you would lose the Android TV and its functionality. There was a problem playing You Tube over Bluetooth to the projector. The signal kept dropping. Moving the source closer to the projector eliminated the problem. Aside from a few drawbacks everything else about the CO-FH02 projector is top of the line and would make a great addition to your streaming and or video watching. I would recommend the Flex CO-FH02 to family and friends.
