This has been a very good portable projector for me. The sound from the built in speaker is pretty good but it supports HDMI eARC if I ever want to setup bigger speakers. It has 2 HDMI ports which is very useful and overall brightness of the image is great but does not compare to a non portable projector (and I do not expect it to) but is also much quieter but not completely silent. The only low side to this is that the whole system runs on Android and there was a recent software update that broke the sleep timer behavior and has the system repeatedly turn back on. Also while android TV is fine on a smart TV device it is not the most reliable system for a TV or projector as an OS. Lastly the auto keystone is not reliable at all but the manual controls let you make all necessary adjustments so personally has not been a deal breaker. Overall still enjoy using it and think it is a great little portable unit.

Pros:
* Insane quality of image and sound for such a small device
* Low weight and footprint
* Easy to use UI and remote
* Auto focus and keystone work well most of the time.
Cons:
* Does not do true wireless screen mirroring neither from PC or Mac, your only options are Chromecast or wired HDMI

The Epson EF-12 is a compact projector that delivers excellent image quality, particularly in darker settings. While it struggles in daylight or bright rooms, it performs impressively in low-light environments, bringing vibrant colors and sharp details to life. That said, darker scenes can be a bit tricky to see clearly, likely due to my room not being completely dark.
The built-in Yamaha sound system is a major highlight. The audio quality is fantastic, and when paired with my stereo for surround sound, it creates an immersive experience perfect for movies or gaming.
One minor downside is that Netflix isn’t natively supported on the projector. However, this is an easy fix using Google TV Chromecast, which integrates seamlessly and works like a charm.
Overall, the Epson EF-12 is a great choice for those who want portability and excellent performance in a darkened space, as long as you’re okay with a small workaround for Netflix!

Very good image quality in a compact size. The speakers are very good for what they are. You do not need to bring a sound system to this which is a plus. There is built in Android TV which means you do not need a streaming device but it does not include Netflix. I have attached a Roku streaming stick that is powered by the usb port on the projector for Netflix. Overall one of the best projectors for price and features.

This is the perfect solution if you are looking for an outdoor projector and a good replacement for casual TV entertainment, very easy to setup (comes with Android TV), one of the best features is the auto picture skew & focus correction, which basically does everything for you, just place it in front of a wall and start playing your content. My kids loved the proyector, you can move it around the house, it’s so easy to use, that became the main device for my 6 years old son!!!, you can play video games too, I used a raspberry PI without a problem. You don’t really need an screen to use it, as you can see in the pictures, one of the walls is not flat but I was able to enjoy the content. I did a couple of tests in different conditions, you will get the best image in a controlled light environment but it’s still usable during daylight, another great feature is the sound, you can add speakers thru Bluetooth or HDMI (ARC), but the sound is powerful enough, very good bass too.
Please note: This is a review for the Epson Mini EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

It's a little pricey over the model below it (same image quality) considering it's pretty much speakers and a couple of inputs but I'm pretty happy with the sound for it's size. The image and autofocus/key-stoning is pretty good considering the size and weight of it. There's no zoom but I didn't find that a problem. It's a bit dull on the lumen side but the image quality makes up for it once you dim the lights. The Bluetooth can be a bit tricky to sync - make sure Bluetooth speaker is off on the projector before trying to pair a device. Overall Epson nails this as a portable projector. Would recommend.

Great for what it is and very simple to use. Comes with batteries for the remote so that’s something you don’t really see these days. My only complaint is that you can’t really adjust the screen size through the projector, the only way to do it is by moving the projector farther or closer from the screen. Other than that, it’s super bright and the speaker is great given its size and capabilities.

A very good value for an entry level projector. Especially for one that is portable. Overall all easy to use with the embedded android TV OS. Using with a 100” screen. Color and contrast is good. Overall picture quality is also good. Nicely portable. Mounted to a camera tripod with the Epson (optional needs to be ordered) mounting plate.
There is a slight lip-sync issue when running the projector to a Bluetooth device like a Home Theater receiver.
Internal speaker is actually pretty good. Respectable vocal intelligibility. You can hear the words. The video is not highly detailed but is visually involving when watching a movie. Football looks good too. The light output is only 1000 ANSI Lumens so for best performance it should be used in a very dark room. I highly recommend this as an entry level projector.

Better than expected. I didnt expect it to be bright enough during daylight hours. However, we've been able to enjoy it even during the day when natural light is on in the house. I also like the automatic keystone and the onboard speaker. We haven't had the need to turn it to its maximum volume. We usually keep the volume in the center and everyone can hear it just fine. The image is clear. I am glad we bought it.

very compact and versatile. the picture quality is very good in our basement (no windows) location. It tolerates some perimeter lighting without washing out the picture. I would suggest having more user-friendly instructions on distance limits per the size of the projection screen. Fairly easy to fine tune once distance orientation is set.

Love it! I use this projector on a very large wall and it has exceeded its 150 inch display. The colors are very bright and it is fantastic for watching movies, youtube, and also listening to music. The speakers were great! Definitely recommend for the price period

The salesman at the store tried to sell us on a much more expensive and larger projector for home theater purposes. Bad call bro. This little guy auto focuses on any wall and works even with some light (late afternoon). We set it up on a table and it throws a 100+ inch picture on the wall and it’s awesome. The speaker is about as good as our sound bar we have on another TV. We haven’t tried to use the software but it works really well with AppleTV. I would definitely buy again.

I was having an outdoor movie party. I bought a new inflatable screen. We were all set for a good time. However, when i fired up my old projector it had died!
I had people coming in a couple of hours so i went to best buy in a panic. I didn't have time to do weeks of research. In the time of covid i had to take what i could get. They had 3 projectors in stock. I went with this 1. Well I'm happy to report this thing is awesome! Pure dumb luck that it worked out but it was easy to set up, great picture and sound

This little thing is amazing! I knew nothing about projectors going in and am completely blown away by how easy this is to set up. We use it on a white wall and have an instant 110" TV. The picture looks just like a TV, as long as it's in a dark room. The speaker is great too. We originally bought it to use outside and it works great for that purpose as well, it's plenty loud for an outdoor movie night. The picture quality does diminish on the garage door, so we bought an outdoor screen (Elite 120") that was easy to set up too. 10/10!

I bought this for my daughter, who recently moved into an apartment. This is a great solution for media streaming with great picture onto even a painted wall.
Very compact and mobile. I would envision this being useful for much longer than a standard television.
You can get around the Netflix limitation with a Roku, Apple TV, etc.
