Customers are delighted by the EpiqVision Ultra LS300's impressive picture quality, ease of use, and convenient short throw capabilities. Many appreciate its brightness, even in daylight conditions, and the straightforward setup process. However, some users have noted concerns regarding fan noise and the durability of the HDMI ports. You can't watch Netflix with this device!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No Netflix!!! Unfortunately I didn't catch that in any of the reviews I had read before purchasing. I just assumed that was standard on any name brand Android TV device. I called support to verify and they confirmed, and said it might be allowed some day, but I saw a review from a year ago saying it wasn't there so I don't have any confidence that will happen. This is pretty much all we watch so I'll be returning it. Other than that, the picture quality was pretty good, but it took a lot of patience tweaking the location of the projector and the screen position to get it looking right. Also the fan was louder than I had hoped for, but I'm sure that's an issue with most projectors. I had also read a lot of reviews bragging about the speaker, but I thought the speaker was pretty pitiful. It sounded a little better than laptop speakers to me, and when there was bass in the music, it sounded awful. I hooked it up to my soundbar, but it was much larger than I imagined, and wouldn't fit on my TV stand with the soundbar. It took up all the space front to back.

Fantastic, with one frustrating issue
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far my favorite way to stream and view content. I received the Epson projector yesterday and have had it on pretty much non stop since. It was bigger than I anticipated, but no issue there. The one issue I did have was with the remote. After unboxing and setting up the projector, the Bluetooth remote set up was next, this is where the issues started. I get a prompt to pair the remote with the projector by pressing and holding the Home and Enter buttons at the same time. I did this and the remote would not go into pairing mode. I tried over and over, still no pairing mode. I tried 5 different sets of AAA batteries, same result, no pairing. I tried resetting the projector and starting trying to pair again. Still nothing. I worked on this for over two hours, went online, read the manual, tried again and still not pairing. The issues is, the remote is only partially functional with out being paired via Bluetooth. I tried to call customer service but it was after hours and I was unable to reach them. I finally just walked away and decided to call CS again during business hours. I decided to try again after waiting for about another hour. This time, I reset the unit and started all over again. This time when I got the remote pairing prompt, I pressed the Home and Enter buttons and once again it would not pair. I tried several more times and finally it went into pairing mode and paired wit the projector. The pairing took over three hours, which is unacceptable for a $2000 item. After the remote was paired I connected my Cable box and and was blown away by the picture, the Yamaha speakers, and the overall quality of the experience. I streamed several different shows, from football, to a TSO concert. The sound and picture are amazing. I have it set up to project an 80" picture and I can say that football is incredible and larger than life. The TSO show was just incredible, the colors and the sound were just so awesome. There are several settings to customize your viewing and audio experience and I tried them all. I love the fact that this is a short project unit and it can be set up close to the screen or wall you project to. Mine is set up about 3 feet from the screen and the picture is crisp and not distorted in any way. You will most likely have to fine tune focus which is easy and done with a lever on the right side. This should be a five star projector, but the issue with remote pairing is simply not acceptable with an item at this price. My concern is if the remote unpairs, I will again have issues, and this is something that a customer should not have to deal with. I will recommend this unit, but with some reservation due to the issues with pairing the remote.

Remarkable Laser Projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy unpackaging yet well packaged. The LS300 is a heavy laser projector, appears to be well built, and the design is nice. The air filter for the LS300 is easily accessible. Time for set up, plugged in the LS300, and noted no noticeable operational sound, incredibly quiet. Set up started out easy however upon signing into Google to set up the LS300, the LS300 chose to start an update, when it returned from the update, we could only access YOUTUBE. The Apps and Home buttons were nonoperational on the remote and we could not set up the LS300 with all the bells and whistles, YouTube only. Occasionally the video would display the picture to set-up the remote however the remote was set-up. Pushing the return button would take you from this screen back to the YouTube screen. I spent quite a few hours attempting to find a means to reset the system however I could not find any information regarding a reset. I did find a note on page 30 of the manual that stated, “Setting Up Android TV Android TV must be set-up when you turn on the projector for the first time”. After a considerable amount of time, in settings, under “Power Button Setting” there is the option of “Suspend” or “Shutdown”. The setting was on Suspend so I changed it to Shutdown. I turned the LS300 off, waited about 5 minutes, and when I turned the LS300 on the screen came up allowing me to complete the set-up of the LS300. I later found the “Resetting the Projector” on page 49 of the LS300 Manual, however I do not believe I could access this area during this issue. The manual can be found on the internet. Video is stunning, and the Yamaha sound is powerful. The video pictures are clear and extremely crisp, displaying the most minute details of the video. The Yamaha sound is clear and crisp with solid base, no distinct distortion noted. Voices are clear and the background sounds/music do not overpower the dialogue. We are using a 100-INCH 16:10 4K / 8K Ultra HDR 3D Ready screen to host the LS300 video. A reminder: insure you set the LS300 on a solid base console or table with ample air space for the filter, and a solid base will eliminate any issues with the quality of the sound due to vibration. You will have to move the LS300 out, away from the viewing surface, with increasing outward movement until you can achieve a 120” video picture or the video size you prefer or have room for. It will take you just a little tweaking the LS300 leg adjustments to get your video where you want it on your viewing area. We have the Projection Window of the LS300, approximately 23” from the video screen and we are getting a 98” diagonal picture. Very impressive. I found the picture skew settings rather cumbersome at first however once you get a little more accustomed to making the adjustments it becomes easier. Our other Epson Laser Projector allowed you to set the picture skew while watching a video. With the LS300, your taken to a screen with 8 small circles, placed around a rectangle. You move to these circles to adjust a rectangular box. We spent a lot of time, at first, attempting to make the adjustments and could not get a great setting however when placed back on a video picture the picture was amazingly good. A little disappointment, during setup we were able to download the Hulu app but not the Amazon Video app or the Netflix app. When we attempted to download the Netflix app and the Amazon Prime Video app, we received a notice “Your device isn’t compatible with this version". Not good, these are two of our primary apps. We are Amazon Prime Members so we would like to utilize Amazon Video and we pay for a Netflix subscription and we would like to be able to use Netflix also. I plug our Fire TV Stick into the HDMI 1 port, power cable to from the Fire Stick to the USB port to enable access to our Netflix and Amazon Video apps. The more we watch video with the LS300 the more we are impressed with the incredible picture quality. The detail in the crisp clear video is the best I have seen to date. I also like not having to find a place to set a standard or hang a ceiling mount for the projector out in the middle of your room, and the worry of someone/animal getting in front of the laser beam or blocking the laser beam.

An Amazing Projector/TV Experience!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, let me open with how elated I am for the opportunity to review an enhanced concept in smart streaming with projectors! I knew that video projecting with connecting peripherals had gotten popular as families are doing a lot of home entertaining especially during this pandemic we are amidst. However, this projector with Android TV is simply AMAZING as I feel it is a must-have for family fun and entertainment! The following are notables that I have discovered from this product: ***SETUP*** Firstly, I read where a few of my fellow reviewers experienced problems when pairing their remote to the projector. However, I did not experience any problems as the pairing was a seamless experience. A good friend of mine assisted me with setup and the only issue we experienced was that he initially placed the projector too far back; however, after going to Epson’s website and downloading the full user’s guide, we were able to accommodate the ‘short throw’ in which everything was great. We really did play around with obtaining the best imagery that I felt work best for me. There was a firmware update that did not take too long and from there things were smooth sailing! ***FEATURES*** -Let me say there are several amazing features that this product offers such as chrome casting, great apps such as YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney Play, Pandora, Hulu to name a few. I will note that Amazon Prime app is not connecting at this time. As an Amazon Prime member, I am hopeful that with future updates, this app will be up and running soon. -There are multiple ways to connect such as HDMI ports 3, 2 USB ports, 3 HDMI HDCP ports, and it is Bluetooth enabled. -Epson teamed with Yamaha and the result is AMAZING as the speakers are clear and concise with exceptional audio. Therefore, if you are a music lover, you will get to experience great audio without distorted noises. Suffice to say, if you are a movie watcher, you will experience amazing audio that is truly likened to a cinema experience right in the presence of your home. -The look of this projector/TV is beautiful with a cloth-like detail that will match up to most decors. It does come in 2 color choices, black and white. -This device does work with Google Assistant as I have used this feature and it has not disappointed me. Also, it was easy to set up in Google Home. ***PERFORMANCE*** Thus far, the performance of this TV/projector has been great! I have experienced some lag and that is because I am in an apartment and the Internet is just horrible here. I just moved from a home whereas my internet provider, AT&T offered outstanding internet services; unfortunately, that is just not the case here. ***EXPECTATIONS*** This projector/TV has exceeded my expectations in every possible way! The picture quality is breathtaking as I feel I am receiving a true cinema experience right in the presence of my home. I truly never imagined; a true-like cinema experience can be captured from a wall! I want to emphasize that if you do not have a screen projector, the wall suffices well! I think that Epson has done a wonderful job in manufacturing a projector/TV that works well for home entertainment purposes. ***VALUE*** I feel for this price point, you are receiving a 2 in 1 experience that is well worth it! I have seen a few other manufactures that produce this type of product and their price points were a lot more expensive. Epson partnered with Yamaha in order to give the product a rich immersive sound experience and their picture specs for this product are dynamic too. I feel this is an investment that will last for years to come. ***RECOMMENDATIONS*** Without reservation, I highly recommend this product as I think it is a great source of family entertainment as it is loaded with rich-immersive features that are second to none. As a reviewer, I want to personally thank both Epson and Best Buy for affording me the opportunity to review an OUTSTANDING product!

Big Screen! Big Sound!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS300 is a game-changer for anyone looking to transform their living room into a home theater. Its short-throw laser projection delivers crisp, bright visuals, making it perfect for movies, gaming, or sports—whether the lights are dimmed or not. The built-in Yamaha speakers blew me away with rich, room-filling sound, eliminating the need for extra speakers. Setup is easy, and with built-in streaming, I was watching my favorite show within minutes. It’s sleek, smart, and feels like an all-in-one entertainment upgrade worth every penny!

Impressive Projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great projector, the setup was pretty easy. The short throw technology is pretty cool and it gives me more option for setting up the room. The picture quality is amazing and the sound system way better than what you would normally get with other projectors. Android TV and built-in Chromecast is a big convenience also. The only con here is that it is not native 4K, so I won't be hooking up my PS5 to it.

Projector needs to be quite far from wall
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Warning: TV stand needs to be 2.5 feet from the wall for the 100 inch screen size, not just 10 inches. 2.5 feet is a good distance into the room already. Very misleading. Returned and suffered Best Buy's 300 dollar restocking fee.

More than enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this projector to place it in my bedroom, and the quality was quite surprising! It even was able to fill the whole wall of my room with the screen like a movie theater. Sound quality was good after I set it up to theater mode and turn off the bass. Real bright and clear for my room, and good sound quality. I say this is one the best purchase I’ve ever made during the sale!

great projector.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.man do i love this projector. images are clear and great looking. before i get into the good. a few things i noticed. only wifi. i would love to have an option to plug in. streaming facebook live for instance, we had a lot of lag. we tried to mirror with our devices (one was an android phone) and still had lag. we also tried thru the projector via the facebook live app and same. our xbox is wired so we plugged that in and then used the xbox and it was fine. the wifi is great with youtube, disney etc. that you can stream. but something live it would lag on. its a lot bigger then we thought it would be. you will need 2 or so feet at least in front of were you are going to project. not a big issue though but warning. we could not use a couple apps that we normally use. i am not sure if its the projector or the app. but netflix and amazon prime are 2 for now. maybe an update will fix but for now we have to use our xbox. remote is basic. i had issues paring at first. it would pair up, and then projector would restart and then i would have to repair. this happened a few times. finally paired and staid but for5 a pricy projector should not be that hard. also i would have liked to see the remote light up. again for a 2000$ projector you would think that they could have a better remote that at least lights up to see. especially because most ppl probably would turn off lights. those are a few issues i have experienced. and why a 4 star for now. it does not say it can go lower. but i would have loved it to. would be nice if you can select a couple default sizes like 40inch etc. there is a slider you can adjust the screen. would be nice to have numbers so if i slide bottom right corner in, that it would show numbers to help adjust properly. you can adjust this way and it will shrink the screen size down. again, this would be nice to have default settings to do this. maybe increments of 5 or 10 inches. now the good. sound is great for a projector. most tvs and projectors are not that great. this one, you dont need a soundbar or anything else. gets fairly loud and still clear. its not surround but good enough. quality was great. its not 4k native resolution, however it does 4k. just the input has to be 4k. we have watched movies, youtube etc. i have a pc with a 1920x1080 monitor and watched the same videos and it looks so much clear on the projector. you can tell. games with the xbox (we have 2 that both are 4k models) and you can see the difference as well. we also have a xbox one that is not 4k and it looks the same as on my non 4k monitor as well. so native resolution just is that if you are watching things that are not 4k it will only use the 1920x1080 resolution then. if the input is a 4k input though it will then display that at 4k resolution. hope this helps. where as other models that are 4k native, even if a video is not 4k, will still play it at 4k resolution (just wont make it look as nice as an actual 4k video though). that said, again, great image quality. bright and clear. and the fact you dont need it way back. this helps with anyone getting up and walking. they wont walk infront of projector. it has a lot built in that is great as well. disney, youtube, etc. overall great projector if you are looking for a quality picture, good sounding projector. keep in mind its not meant to travel with. its big, no carry case etc. we have a projector screen that is i think 70". we set that up and then a walmart long tv tray that we placed the projector on. does not take up as much space as a tv and a lot easier to move if need to. even with our lights on this is still easy to see and very bright. yes its pricy but you are getting a high quality projector.

Ultra Short Throw, ultra entertainment
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Epiqvision ultra short throw laser projector has simply amazed me. I guess I was living under a rock and I never realized that these types of projectors even existed. My projector experiences up to this point have always been the regular bulb type where you have to mount it many feet away from the screen and deal with people walking in front of it to disrupt your image. I am amazed at this technology and it might just force me to change up my main TV watching set up of a 65” OLED TV. For now, my screen solution is just using a light grey painted textured wall in a brightly lit room. Even with those suboptimal conditions, the image brightness is great, the resolution is not the best, but I plan on working on that soon with a real screen. I have read that an Ambien Light Rejecting (ALR) screen is recommended for these type of projectors and those are very expensive. Regular screens work and I have an outdoor blow up 114” screen that I use, but it is too cold out right now to test that out. Setup was easy and very straight forward. Pairing the remote simple enough and I managed to stumble thru that ok. This projector is exceptionally large and heavy, but it is designed to sit on a table or cabinet that is positioned close to the wall. If you want to get the largest picture possible, you need to place the unit 15.2” away from the wall, but the smallest picture size is 61” and it has to be 1” from the wall. This projector is packed with a lot of different features from the built in Android TV to Google Chromecast. There are a few streaming apps that are compatible with it and they are Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, YouTube Kids, HBO, and a few others. Noticeably missing are Netflix and Amazon Prime video. That is not too big of an issue since you can use Chromecast to stream those services, but I hope a future update will bring those apps as well. The user interface is pretty simple to use and my only complaint with it is when you are browsing left to right with the cards, they are positioned a little funky as the next card pops up in front of the next one in line. Not a big deal, but it is a visual thing that I do not like. The menu is responsive, and I have not noticed any lag so far. This projector must be connected via Wi-Fi and there is no Ethernet option so keep that in mind as well. The laser is rated at 20k hours of use and that is over 9 years if you use it 6 hours a day. There is also a small filter that I believe needs to be cleaned, but I couldn’t find any thing on that in the quick start up guide so I assume the projector will tell me when that needs to be replaced or cleaned. I do not think that is very much money to replace. Overall, this is a great replacement for a 1080p TV and even though it is expensive, I don’t think you can buy a 120” TV for what this costs even after you factor in the price of an ALR screen. The 4k version of this is extremely expensive, but I don’t think I will miss out on the 4k content. Everything is in a great package and fits well with just about any surrounding décor. Pros: Easy set up Short throw Laser 20k hours of life Chromecast built in Safety feature Cons: Price Missing Netflix, amazon video Not 4K Missing Ethernet

Family Fun in a Box
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing sounds great on paper, but once I started playing with it my mind was racing with possibilities I hadn't even considered! First off, this is about the size of four stacked pizza boxes. That's everything you need to have a ton of fun. Plug it in, connect to WiFI and set it next to a wall or screen and you have a mobile theater and sound system. The built in speaker is the first one I've seen deliver on the promise of home theater sound in a single unit. It's loud, clear and has enough bass to really enjoy a movie. Dialogue sounds amazing, full and "cinemalike." You don't need anything else if you're using this as a living room projector or for outside movie night or at a vacation house. Since it has a very short throw you don't need much room or a fancy mount, just a table and a flat surface. I was able to put the front of the unit a few inches from my screen and get an 80" picture easily. Every few inches I moved it back resulted in a huge increase in picture size. Picture quality is also top-notch. I've had a few other projectors, but this is my first laser PJ. It's bright! Really bright. And it comes on almost instantly, versus the 5 minutes or so my non-laser projector takes. Black levels are a little higher than I would prefer, but hardly a deal-breaker. Also, the projector is very quiet if the brightness is under 80%. Above 80% the fan kicks in and it sounds like any other projector. Since Android TV is built in you have everything you need contained in one unit. All of the usual streaming services are there, like Netflix, Hulu, Movies Anywhere and more, plus Chromecast built in for devices. You can also pair a Bluetooth game controller and play some excellent Android games. There's even a USB port for adding content or streaming media from a USB drive. So, again, you have the entirety of your movie and music collections and streaming apps, games and other fun stuff, a decent home-theater sound system and a massive display all in a box that's easy to move and doesn't need to be mounted. Freaking. Awesome. And if all of those options don't suit you, there are still HDMI ports and an optical audio out for a bigger sound system. So what's not to love? My only complaint is that the remote isn't backlit. If you're using a projector you're ostensibly using it in a dark room. Also, remember this is a 1080p display. If you're acquiring a lot of 4K content you might want to step up to a 4K version. The picture on this one is very sharp and I don't find myself worrying about the missing resolution. If you're looking for a dead simple entertainment solution, either in a permanent setting or something to take outside or on vacations for movie nights, look no further. And if you're an AV nerd like I am, you'll surely find a million cool uses for the built in Android TV.
