The image projected is very clear. I am giving it a one star because after 3 months / about 30 hours of usage, the projector started overheating to the point that it would burn my fingers at the touch. I decided to call Epson but all they wanted to do is send me a refurbished one. As you can imagine, I was very upset because I was going to end up getting a refurbished projector, when I could of easily bought a refurbished one since the begining without the need of spending the extra 300.00 dollars. I have not send out my projector for a replacement.

We bought the projector with the express intent to watch tv through it and movies: the sales associate told us it would work great with an hdmi cable. Turns out is DOESNT, and we have to purchase a whole other box to do so.

Recently purchased product was waiting for release date. This projector hands down high end image quality. When comparing this projector to upper price models it is on par. I cannot believe the image, color, brightness, overall detail of the picture in this price point. Epson had outdone themselves, with this high quality entry level media projector. You will not be disappointed if second guessing whether to purchase this model. Awesome Awesome Awesome picture, really satisfied with purchase.

Great at night but in the day it's a little hard to see real details. But it's for my 7 year old and he plays games on it as well as Netflix.

The Epson 2045 LCD Projector performance is fair enough for the regular screening. But the 3D projection is not effective.

I did do some research before buying this projector. The major reason I decide to buy this one is its very low lamp replacement cost. Although its lamp life time is shorter than any of other DLP projector, its cost is only margin of those DLP ones. The picture of this project is great! Although I was worried about its 2200 lumens ratings but it turned out that brightness is good enough for normal home use. Actually for the most of the time its ECO mode is already bright enough for you. The color of this projector is its most advantage. Its very vivid and accurate. The black level may not be as good as DLP but it is not bad at all to me. It does have fan noise when it's put on the normal mode. But as long as you use good audio system it will not be noticeable too much.

The downfall is the zoom adjustment. It doesn't give me a lot of options to choose from as far as where I can mount it.

I bought this projector because it had the throw range, brightness and contrast I wanted. Short of spending $1k more, it was pretty much the only on in it's class. I got it for a great price and got a gift card with it as well. Awesome unit. In a smaller darker room, you pretty much have to run it in Eco mode; it is way too bright and a bit loud otherwise. In a larger, lighter room, the extra brightness is fine and the fan noise is not as distracting. In Eco, it's whisper quiet and still brighter than most other units. A minor bit of noise from the auto-iris, but you can adjust settings if it bothers you. Really nice unit. The vertical offset on this unit is a bit different than others; if you're mounting this from the ceiling or rear wall, go to one of the online projector calculator sites and figure out your vertical drop and throw range. The offset will require an extended mount if hanging from the ceiling. Love this unit at this price; very happy.

Good projected for home does good in open areas but the rear connection need work
