The picture is just amazing. The motor is extremely low. The speaker on the unit is actually very nice. I recommend to anyone looking for a quality home theater projector.

It looks good with the lights on. 3D is a little bit of a pain to get going but it works well, once it is.

This projector is so automatic, it's almost unbelievable. The auto-focus and auto-keystone is stellar and VERY useful for quick corporate meetings. The ability to quickly project from a mobile device is trivial to use, and the lag time, even for HD video and audio is ridiculously small. I highly recommend. I purchase and use many projectors regularly, and this is my favorite for corporate use, so far.

Myself and a couple of friends bought three Epson 2045 projectors over the weekend. I am writing here to express my displeasure about a blurring issue that we are noticing in all three projectors. We connected the projector to my DELL XPS laptop using a HDMI cable. We could immediately notice that the top left corner (about 15%) of the screen was blurry. Eyes become watery after watching the screen for a while. We tried every possible troubleshooting suggestion available on Epson website and other AV forums. We tried everything possible from perfect placements on a table to dabbling with the Keystone and zoom settings. We even tried different sources, a different laptop, Apple TV Airplay, Miracasting a phone etc. Nothing helped. We then moved on to testing the projectors by projecting some focus test pattern images available online. We could clearly make out the blur on all the focus test pattern images we projected. We then checked the other projectors too, both those projectors were more or less having the same issue, at least one of the corners was blurry, one was at the same top left corner, but the other one had the issue at the top right corner and the bottom right corner. We are wondering if this is a hardware defect, poor quality of lenses or something to do with vignetting and other projector maladies? One of us called up Epson customer care, the tech support guy was of the opinion that this may be a defect and he is sending over a new one (in exchange.) For now only one of us called up. We would like to see if the new one is any different, if it is not, then we are planning to return all three. I wish Epson could arrange for a technical support person who could troubleshoot this for us. The customer care person was more of a sales person who limited himself to asking some questions about the issue.

Nice Projector. Used epson 3020 earlier. Replaced that and very happy.

I bought this to replace a 9 year old Panasonic PT-AE700 projector, so this isn't my first time at the rodeo. My complaint about it is the zoom ratio is NOT designed for a Home theater; it is a glorified office conference room projector. My screen is 105" and my Panasonic could sit 210" behind the screen, up above and behind the viewers. In order to get this one to fit my screen, it has to be about 90" from the screen, in front of the viewers. Now, I don't know about you, but when I go to a movie theater, the projector is BEHIND the audience. It's great that this will project up to a 300" screen, but unless you own a bar you're not going to use it that way. For me, this is not a good home theater projector and anyone who thinks it is has it sitting on a table in front of them while they're watching the movie or it's hanging upside down from their ceiling 8 feet from the screen lighting up the ceiling, and that is NOT a home theater experience. I'll call Epson in the morning, but unless I'm missing something, this thing is going back.

The image display is really good. The 3D is also very good quality. The titl shift is very useful especially if you're using this projector as a portable one like I do. It's usually in a spare room we have made into our movie room. But we've also brought it to the living room for Superbowl parties and outside for movie nights with friends.

Great projector for the price.Pretty flexible in terms of placement and bright in daylight.Little loud with normal lamp mode and it is better with ECO mode. I have a 120 inch screen and have this projecting to it. Overall very good buy.

After hours of research, I ultimately decided on this projector and love it. I love that the replacement lamps from Epson are economical compared to other manufacturers

I mounted to my ceiling and projected on 120" screen from 12ft distance and guess what the image quality is excellent. The reason why I gave 4 is, it makes little sound, but if you start watching movie with loud speakers, you forget that sound :)

Great picture quality, colors are vivid. You can mirror your phone or tablet without any external devices. Great product overall.

Nice video quality. No regrets Buy it during Xmas time, price will be cheap.

My husband bought this for a home theater. I've not seen it yet.
