MOVIE THEATER & NO CROWDS!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off I have to say that this Epson 2100 3LCD Projector is awesome! It was seriously simple to set-up. In the past I've used a DLP version and I thought it was great.......Until I hooked up and watched an action movie using this 3LCD Epson and all I can say is WOW! No more DLP for me. It has very crisp & clear vivid colors at all times, even when the movie scenes are darker. Very clear on the 92" screen I am currently using for it. I believe I will be purchasing me a remote controlled ceiling mount screen soon and relocating my flat panel TV to another room so that not only will I be gaining a heck of a lot of real estate in my living room but I will be turning it into a true home theater that will have all of the extra space! What an extra "Bonus" this projector will be giving me for sure. You can hook this versatile projector up to either a Mac or Windows computer. The lamp also boasts that it has a really good life expectancy of approx. 4-4.5k hrs at full power and 7.5k hours in ECO mode. The lamp, In my opinion, will last the average user well over 2 yrs. The cooling fan is very quiet. Of course it does get a little more noisy in full power mode But I did not notice it at all during any of my viewing time. It has a really good amount of "Lens Shift" but on my set-up, I didn't have to tweak it hardly at all. All of the adjustments are super quick and easy to do. The projector also has a built-in 10W speaker which actually sounds pretty decent.......But I've hooked up a great home theater surround system which is a must for me especially during movies and music vids! This is a fantastic projector and I'm very pleased with it's ease of set-up and use, it's great colors and contrast and I feel like my home now has a genuine home theater!

Great but could be brighter
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great projector and pretty clear. The only issue is it could be brighter especially on a larger screen the image becomes too distorted. The zoom feature is nice to keep the projector further back.

Full 1080P HD video, 7.5-pound, CINEMA projector
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full 1080P HD video in a 7.5-pound, portable CINEMA grade projector form EPSON. I found the video quality amazing as the auto keystone function squared off the image frame almost instantly. This is great for the non-AV user. Just plug it in, attach your video cable and it works. I used my Sling-TV for watching March madness like I was courtside. With a possible 150-inch screen size, the image was 'larger than life'. For smaller locations the 10-watt built in mono speaker is okay, but add an amplifier and you have a true cinema experience. The remote functions very well, I almost believe it may be wireless, but does have the LED in the front. If you are game, there is a network connector (RJ-45) built in for even more control. (There is also an optional box that really lets the 2100 perform some magic!) Great picture at 1920 × 1080, almost no setup, this unit is worth the cost. Compare it to what you expect to pay for a TV monitor of the same size! The lamp life is rated at 7000 hours in low power mode and 4000 hours full throttle. That is my only con issue, like any projector expect to replace the lamp someday. I always have a spare. It uses a 400-watt lamp that can produce 2500 lumes (for comparison). The unit can be used from in front or behind a screen, on a table or mounted upside down from the ceiling. The filter for the fan is easily cleaned, another plus. While this is for my home use, it is probably the easiest one I have set up. Eventually, this gets hung from the ceiling with a motorized screen. Thanks EPSON! I definetly recommend this.

Epson Does It Again!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another great projector created by Epson. After trying another brand that claimed to offer amazing stats failed miserably to live up to the hype I’ve come to appreciate what Epson offers even more. Crisp, clear imaging that just works. Although it says home I find that it works just as well for business uses also. Great product that can compete with higher priced options and still win.

Great Projector for Home Cinema Setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been waiting for a while now to get a projector, and the Epson 2100 Home Cinema 1080p 3LCD projector is one of the best investments I've made recently. As this is my first projector, I didn't really know what to expect. All I can say is “wow”! I was blown away by how amazing the picture quality looks. It's very bright with 2500 lumens, colors are vibrant, contrast ratio looks amazing considering I'm not currently using a projector screen, 1080p never looked so good. The system boots up quickly, the menu layout was very easy to navigate and there are a ton of settings to play around with. Pros: - 2500 Lumens – bright and clear output - Full HD at 1980x1080 with a maximum projected picture size of 132" - Easy Setup and adjustment right out of the box Cons: - Speaker is underwhelming, but most users are going to have speaker systems/soundbars - Fan is a little loud, using Eco mode helps - No cables included with projector This is certainly a great addition for anyone looking to add that cinema / movie theater feel to their home for relatively short money. I fully recommend this projector!
