    My best Projo yet!

What a great projector. Have had 3 Panasonic’s, Sony and a Epson HD720 but this is the best by far. Unbelievable brightness and picture! Gave a 5 Star rating although the speaker a bit loud but who cares, you shouldn’t be buying this for the dinky speaker it has (although only a bit loud, it is a pretty decent speaker for viewing a movie in a living room. Hook some speakers to it or use Bluetooth speakers. I watch movies through my Showbox app on my Android phone, use Mirrorcast and have 2 RockenRoller Bluetooth speakers. It’s insane!

    Best Entry Level Projector

I did lots of research before purchasing my first projector.from all 4 I had on my list I ended up with choosing the Epson HC-2150. I watched YouTube videos from all 4 and this one had more features and on top of that BestBuy had it on sale for $699.99 when Original price is $899.99.image quality is very clear , Gaming is very responsive (No Lag) Fan is not loud like people say, you can change settings to minimize fan sound. Speakers is loud enough for a regular size living room.Projector is lightweight,Since it’s over $500 I wish Epson would included a travel carrying bag or case to store after every use , for those that don’t have it mounted on ceiling.Family enjoys movie nights, and video gaming, even though I don’t have a screen yet it looks very sharp on the wall. It does look pixelated if your too close to wall but once you back up a few ft you can’t see pixels. Check speaker test and gaming experience on link below: https://youtu.be/DIvJpED0dOI

This projector is by far one of the best, I've watched movies on. The lumens is not the most important thing it's the contrast and black levels this projector produces. It produces excellent clarity and brightness with even some light in the room. It has enough hdmi inputs inluding a 3.5mm audio output. You can use an HDMI audio extractor if you want to use an optical cable to a sound bar. Overall picture has excellent contrast and is very clear. Bright picture with good darks. Excellent home cinema quality. Enough HDMI inputs (2) and 3.5 mm audio output.

Had this projector for 2 weeks now, ceiling mounted at approximately 15 feet from 100 inch acoustically transparent Elite UHD screen. Beautiful picture. Haven't messed with the settings very much, so it may get even better as I fine-tune it. Don't think I really need to, though. Easy set up and calibration. Haven't used the 3D function or Miracast function

First time buying a projector and definitely picked out the best! Amazing quality, easy to use, and has wifi and bluetooth capability. We plug our bose sound link to it to get better volume of course because not much comes out but together they work great. Great with the Roku as well. It also has an app so you can also stream from your devices.

Bought this to replace a 6 yr old Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 8100. That was a great projector at the time (and price) and served us well through the years.... but a fan started flaking (will be replaced), and became unreliable the past weeks. Found this 2150 on sale at Best Buy, and was skeptical that it would suffice, but bought it on the specs alone... Boy was I wrong! Better contrast ratio (60,000 vs. the old 36000), and substantially brighter - even in "Eco" mode. booted up and right out of the box this little guy is impressive. In foll illumination it's 2500 lumens, but that mode has louder fan noise than the 8100 (when the fan worked properly).. In ECO mode on the 2150, it's barely a whisper and still produces 2100 lumens (the previous projector was 1800)... We can easily watch during the day with indirect light through open blinds. (Obviously better contrast and overall experience in darker situations with the blinds closed) This was an upgrade without a doubt. Would be a great "first projector" and it won't break the bank. The bulb on the 2150 is supposed to last 7500 hrs in ECO mode. That is a consideration if you're thinking about going with a projector (always keep a spare bulb to avoid major disappointment on movie night/party night). The 8100 build uses a DIFFERENT type of bulb, that was rated at about 4000 hrs. We changed bulbs about 13 months like clock work with nightly use of the projector, so the numbers must be the optimal max,,, not the real world MTBF. Changing the bulb is easy to do, and done in minutes, but annoying and we never got 4000 hrs out of them even with regular filter changes and cleaning. Eager to see how this holds up, but based on previous model, I bet this will be used happily for a long, long time. Pros: Great build quality (Epson always does have that) Much smaller and lighter than the 8100 (a beast)... makes the old wall mount look like overkill now. Heh. (More on the mount later) Brighter, with substantially (and very noticably ) better contrast. Overall EXCELLENT viewing experience -- even pre-calibrated. This cost 40% of what the 8100 cost back in 2010, and dramatically out performs it. IT's not fair to compare on price alone... given how much time has elapsed, but the 2150 is stellar anyway. Cons: Remote is not backlit (not a concern here, since using Harmony One universal to drive all our media devices or Alexa, but worth mentioning). The 8100's is backlit, FWIW. THE BIGGEST CON is that the 2150 is pretty limited for adjustments when put in the same physical location as the 8100. The 8100 has 3 substantial, rubberized feet, and the front 2 are individually adjustable for height... Also, the 8100 has tremendous lens compensation (shift) and was a breeze to install, adjust, set zoom..... the 2150 uses the opposite approach: the front has 1 leg. the hind legs are more adjustable, but too short for my setup, so I had to hike the back end up a bit.... Had I set up my steel projector holder for *this* projector model, I would have selected a lower position on the wall (into which I bored holes to mount it)... There area just not nearly as many options on the 2150 model allowing me to compensate for the height of the installed mount. It's a variable I had not given enough consideration to (when I mounted it years ago. Still... it's at 99% of what I'd like, and it just as easily could have been fine...

After a few weeks of viewing the projector is impressive. Very bright image and outstanding color even in a normal lighted room. The resolution is stellar A snap to set up. I have it in my media room, ceiling mounted with a front projection 105" screen. I use it for mostly with Blu-Ray videos, Netflix, and Amazon prime but do occasionally connect my i Mac to watch a sports event. The only negative is that the fan noise is noticeable in quite movie sequences but not outrageous.

Easy setup and adjustments on my projector screen. It is a little difficult to get the exact right focus but if you are patient you can get it right. Picture is superb. Hoping this does not have the dreaded over temp sensor as my previous Epson did.

I was actually going to purchase the 2045 model projector, but stumbled on the 2150 shortly after it came out. Trust me I did my research and spent a year shopping. I also had a top of the line projector "a Sanyo" that sold for over $5200 new 10 years ago. It kicked the bucket after hours and hours of use and 3 bulbs. It was my tv. "Back to the 2150". This thing is great. I have only used it on a textured wall and the image is even outstanding on the crappie wall. Every time I watch a movie I think how much I like the projector. My next purchase will be a screen. In the photos attached... don't mind the painting, couch, or lamp. This is the best projector for under a $1000 and I have recommended it to a bunch of people.

So far so good. Easy to install. I installed it on a ceiling mount and it was easy to flip the image. This unit replaced at 13 year old projector and is much brighter, quieter, and sharper. integrated well into my current home cinema setup. projects to about a 100 inch diagonal screen Chose projector over large screen because of the price for the size of the image.

We got this for a home theater and the image quality and brightness is quite good! Have almost never had any issues with it. Like a lot of projectors, I assume, you can sometimes notice the fan noise, but with our speaker setup the sound is loud enough that I can't remember it ever distracting me from what I was watching.

The projector was absolutely plug and play straight out of the box. Did not have to mess with settings although the menu for adjustment of settings is Intuitive. Picture is crisp and detailed and is still good even when the room is far from dark. Overall, it is a value for money HD projector.

I bought this as a temporary replacement while i look for the one i really wanted. This one is so nice i will be keeping it. I’m replacing a very expensive projector i bought 9 years ago and this one is so good i just cant believe it. The overall brightness is fantastic and resolution and color to match. Very much recommend.
