Great projector and will meet most consumers needs

The two are overall very similar and the replacement was very easy with regards to my ceiling mount, controls, and settings (they actually use the same remote control as well). The main reason for my upgrade was the lens shift in the 2150 as well as (per the specs) better contrast and brightness. I have my projector mounted on the ceiling in my front living room so this helps for when some sun is coming in. Only used for 1 week so far, but the picture and color is fantastic! Fan is a few decibels quieter as well, but I mostly run in ECO mode and Cinema setting which I prefer the most. My only gripe (making it a 4-star instead of 5-star) is that at the same mounting point, I cannot make the screen quite as big due to the difference in throw ratio. When I have a move that is 2.35:1, I like to make the screen larger. Below are my screen size differences due to this (both are mounted at 179" lens to wall). Epson 2045: 1.22 to 1.47 throw ratio 1.0x: 122" 1.1x: 134" 1.2x: 146" Epson 2150: 1.33 to 2.16 throw ratio 1.0x: 82.9" 1.6x: 134.5"
