Difficult to stream
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased even though it was expensive, because of the ability to stream from phone. It required another app, was difficult to use and overly complicated. We returned it & purchased another (lower price) projector. Works great.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector died in 10 days! It would start, but the lamp won’t come up. I am deeply disappointed with this product. Also, the fan noise is pretty significant in general. When it was working, the picture quality was very good. I wouldn’t recommend this product and it’s not cheap that you can take it like a toy. I was lucky enough that it was within 14 days return policy of BB and they accepted the return without any fuss.

Google Auto Iris Error
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was satisfied with the purchase until 1 year in and I got an error "auto iris error". Apparently a very common error with Epson projectors. The projector was used very lightly - 1 time a week. Not sure if it is covered under warranty but even if it is, royal pain for a relatively new product.

Good quality image, but noisy and lamp flickers
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have to watch this on ECO because of the loud fan otherwise. Then, after 150hs of usage, the screen started to flicker in ECO, which seems to be normal, forcing us to watch it on normal for some time for the lamp to get "back to normal". I would recommend you go with another product.

Not working wireless
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got back in town and decided to turn on the projector wireless and guess what?! Is not working. And I should have a month from purchase date to return it. And now they saying that I had until the 7th!!! No way. I’m returning this projector and I am not going to pay for it. Unless I get a projector that does work wireless and Bluetooth like it says on Best Buy description. I’m not happy with this item. On top of that. They don’t even include proper instructions. For the actual projector.

Quick setup, great compatibility
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really impressed with this projector. The quick-start guide that comes in the box seemed to be a little optimistic, but really it was that easy to get up and running. All the best features of video projectors -- great, crisp, bright picture, easy connectivity, solid controls. It was easy to set up the image square and true, and resize to the available screen space. Pros: Bright clear sharp picture -- this is video monitor quality picture. I'm blown away by the color, contrast, and sharpness of the image. Easy setup -- just plug it in and it works. Versatile -- I was easily able to connect my laptop to it as a wireless monitor, and my blu-ray player just plugged in to HDMI and worked right away. Cons: The speaker is great for small indoor spaces, like home use or small conference rooms, but the sound isn't strong enough for outdoors or large conference rooms. Limited audio outputs. For this quality, I'd want to see digital audio out and/or bluetooth. IR remote. It's pretty directional; an RF remote would make it less awkward to control no matter what our setup is.

Not what I was hoping
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector is great for some applications, but when using this on a large screen (not the max in the projector specifications) in a dimly lit room, the image resolution, contrast and brightness is lacking. I will be looking for something better.

Projector Lamp stopped working after two days
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The projector Only worked after two days of use and then the projector lamp stopped working. I try to reach out to Epson customer service but I was not able to talk to anyone due to their offices being closed. I ended up returning the projector and now looking for a more reliable projector. For the two days that it worked I had no complaints.

Brings Movie Night to Life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Home Cinema 2150 3LCD projector is perfect for an in-home theater room. The imagery is crystal clear. Vibrant colors, clear motion, it's like being at the movie theater. This Epson Home Cinema projector is full of features that make it the perfect projector for more than just watching movies. I can wirelessly stream content from my laptop to the projector, or use the HDMI port to play games, and more. I really love how easy it is to setup the projector. You can place it on a table or mount in the ceiling. I also appreciate that you can control the functions of the projector from the remote control which makes it really easy to navigate the menus.

Great projector in dark as well as light rooms
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this projector aimed at a 100" screen and it looks fantastic! It is bright enough to use with the lights in my room being on or the curtains being open. The colors really pop and it handles fast motion well. Picture quality seems on par with my friend's Epson 5030. The settings menu in the software could use updating but it's not hard to navigate and accomplish what you want. I would definitely recommend this projector to friends and family. Great buy!

Exceeded my expectations! Great image quality!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must admit, even though I knew projectors had gotten better recently, I clearly had no idea how much. At all. At least that is the case for this Epson model. From packaging, set-up, feature-set, to ease of use, it checks every box. Set-up is extremely straight forward. There are multiple input options, so you definitely have some flexibility, depending on your needs, but my use case, as I guess it will be for most, was mainly HDMI. Generally, you will want a dedicated screen to get the most out of this unit, but even as I ran my first tests on a blank white wall in my home, I was impressed. That is, I thought, until I had that proper set-up. I was quite floored with the quality once I had a screen and had it dialed in. My words here will not do the projector justice, but images were bright, crisp, and vivid while the colors were quite accurate, with proper saturation and stellar contrast ratios. I found this to be the case even in “normal” day conditions, while it was even better at night or with my space blacked out. There was a true ‘movie feel” there. The image quality was beyond my expectations. Beyond the quality, I was also impressed with the amount of control offered. The tools to get that great picture. With lens shift, zoom and keystone correction, it was rather easy to get the picture where I wanted it. Other standout features are the included remote (which provides a great deal of utility), a rather light weight (just under 8 pounds), and a relatively quiet fan (it is not very noticeable). Further, I was pleased with the advertised lamp life. It is rated for 7,500 hours in eco mode and at 4,500 hours in normal mode. Both nice figures. Lastly, replacement bulbs are reasonably priced, which is an important and sometimes overlooked aspect of projector ownership. I can’t really say there is anything I do not like about this projector, but if I was forced to, I would have to say it is the audio. BUT, this is not really a ding against this model specifically, but more just a fact of projector life. The built-in speaker is serviceable, but, as with all projectors, you really will want to hook it up to something to get a true immersive experience. Ultimately, with all that this Epson brings to the table, all while at a competitive price, I have no problem recommending this projector to anyone looking…or even to those looking for a new TV. Something I never would have thought I would have said before owning one. As I said earlier, it checks the boxes, and delivers…whether you are watching movies (even in 3D), sports…etc… or playing games. Inside or out. Day or night. This is a quality product.

Excellent Home Theater Addition
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Home Cinema 2150 is an excellent addition to any home theater setup or for anyone who just wants to enhance their living room. In addition, it's small size, light weight, and built in 10w speaker make it a great portable option to take with you on the road. I actually have a much higher end Epson Home Cinema that is 2.5x the cost and while it does have more than double the contrast ratio, it's hardly noticeable. It's full HD projection delivers crystal clear details, vibrant colors, and stunningly bright picture even when the room is fully lit by a light or you have outside light sources creeping in. The picture quality for the price is excellent. Pair that with up to 300" projection and I say you've got a great projector that should meet almost anyone's needs. Setup was a breeze and you can seriously be up and running watching your favorite show in less than 5 minutes. It's basically plug and play. Remove from box, plug in power, plug in video source, and push power. Bam! You're good to go. Compared to my other projector, the heat output from the 2150 is much less. You could use my other one to heat the room on a cold winter day. After several hours of use, this projector was just slightly warm and the fan noise was barely noticeable. The 10w built-in speaker isn't going to blow anyone away, but is definitely adequate if you wanted to take this out on a camping trip or to watch a big game with all of your friends. Granted, if you are spending the money to purchase this, I'm sure you've got a nice speaker setup that you will choose to use. Unfortunately, the 2150 only comes with a 3.5mm audio output jack. That may limit it's use for some soundbars. It would be very nice if they included bluetooth connectivity for speakers as there are a lot of great sound options these days and it would optimize the projector for portability. As far as wireless capabilities, it will definitely connect to your home network and you can project your screen from your smart phone via the Epson iProjection app. This is ideal if you want to share pictures from a trip or demo a website. Doing this took a matter of seconds and could have some uses. To wirelessly project video, you'll need something like an Fire Stick, Chromecast, AppleTV, etc. I used a Chromecast and it was a simple as plugging it into the HDMI port just like your TV. The quick setup provides instructions on how to connect a mobile device to do true screen mirroring via an MHL cable which I do not have. I think it's easier to just use some screen mirroring options that some of the streaming devices come with rather than purchase a cable and stay wired. In all, I would highly recommend this projector for anyone looking to enhance their home theater experience. It doesn't take any complicated setup. I have a very large clean white wall that I used and it suited my needs just fine. Obviously, a purpose installed projection screen would be ideal. Pros: -Picture quality (detail, color, brightness/contrast) -Setup -Portability (light weight and built-in speaker) -Price -Heat production/dissipation Cons: -Lack of optical/other audio out connection

Fantastic home cinema projector!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cinema projector is great! The picture quality is superb, and is very bright with a nice contrast ratio that's easily noticed. In testing it out with various movies it seems to handle fast scenes very well and has an excellent looking picture for all the movies I tried out since receiving it. Obviously setting this unit up properly with a good screen is also essential to get optimal picture quality with accurate colors (which it does seem to nail the colors just right). Once you do have it setup with a good screen the picture is amazing.- especially with 3D movies! Setup is super easy and you can connect two HDMI devices, and a VGA device. It has an audio out port and a USB port that you can use for slideshows or as a power source for a Roku, Chromecast or similar device. It has Miracast built in so most tablets, phones and PC's can connect to it wirelessly. I tried that out with my Surface Pro, and my Samsung Android Tablet. Both worked great this way and is an awesome feature to have on a projector like this. The included remote control worked well and the menus were easy to understand/navigate as well. Where it's light and portable and has a built-in speaker it'll be perfect for the back yard movie nights when it warms up again! The speaker sounds good and is perfect for making it portable. In the meantime it's awesome for showing a large picture downstairs in the big room we have setup for games and movies. As with almost all projectors the only thing that I didn't care for was the fan noise but it's been designed to be as quiet as it can be and was acceptable. All in all, I am very impressed with this projector, the quality of it and how well it works. In terms of features, the wireless display technology is awesome and being able to do 3D is hands down my most favorite thing about it! Why stick with a 65" TV when you can have a screen double that size and having a larger picture in 3D makes the whole experience of 3D all that much better! I would recommend this projector for anyone looking for one to have for a home theater setup or for anyone that wants to use it for a variety of home entertainment uses. Pros: Bright clear picture with good color 3D support Full HD Includes remote Built-in speaker Highly adjustable Versatile connectivity Wireless display Slideshow capability Cons: Minor fan noise

Amazing Quality for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this projector to complete my basement remodel. I have it casting a 120’’ screen onto a standard painted wall at the moment. I was concerned about the ambient light in the room with an easterly facing window with no window covering about five feet from the screen. I still plan to purchase a blackout shade and 120’’ projector screen but even without that I am VERY satisfied with the picture quality even during the day time. I found it useful to use dynamic setting (1 of 4 options) which takes full advantage of the 2500 lumens. The improved picture quality far outweighs the reduced bulb life (4000 hours vs. 7500 in eco mode). I figured with 5 hours a day of use that’s over 2 years of life on a bulb I can replace for $49. Bulb replacement cost is another huge win here compared to $200+ for similar models sold by the competition. As a sports enthusiast I also turned the CFI (creative frame interpolation) to high which helps a lot with the refresh rate for live action sports. Installation was a breeze. With a ceiling mount and 9 foot ceiling I was a little concerned whether this model would have enough vertical lens shift to bring the picture down to a comfortable level. Don’t be concerned about that...I was able to easily drop it anywhere from floor height to ceiling height with little if any keystone correction required. I did use a ceiling mount that dropped it 18’’ from the ceiling which was nice but may have been unnecessary upon further inspection..better safe than sorry though. I didn’t want to have to crank my neck up to view the image. All in all I still want to add a fixed screen and some light control measures but I wouldn’t have to. I could easily watch a football or basketball game as-is and wouldn’t notice a difference vs. my 70’’ HDTV upstairs. I strongly recommend this product to anyone looking to get a huge screen under $1000 all in.

Very Nice Projector but Lacks Wireless Options
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector is very nice, it's light weight(7.72 lbs), very quiet(27-37dBA), has duel hdmi connections, is 1080p, 3D capabilities, and is also wireless. It comes with a remote control, that has the same options as the top side of the projector. You can also customize the enlargement or reduction of the image by turning the "zoom ring" which is located on top as well. You can also manually adjust images so you can view your images at an angle (perfect for corner locations if you have a projector screen). In order to view 3D movies, Epson recommends you first connect your 3D compatible video device to one of the hdmi ports, so it doesn't work if your video device is not 3D compatible. You also need Epson's compatible "RF" 3D active shutter glasses. I haven't looked up the price for these shutter glasses. This projector has an app called "Epson's Iprojector" which comes in handy if you would like to stream from your PC/Mac or phone, it's pretty easy to sync up once you have downloaded the app but i don't like that the image gets smaller once connected, i've tried to adjust the image to make it bigger but i can't seem to make it bigger (from a 70 inch to a 32 inch when sync up to my PC). I did not like that, i feel they need to work on their app a little more and have more options, but keep in mind it doesn't take away from the image quality just size of screen. I connected my PS4 Pro and it worked great! The images were beautiful, i did not see any lags when streaming netflix , now i haven't tried to play actual video games to see if there would be lag, that is something i plan to do soon. The fan is not very loud its actually pretty quiet, when used on cinema color mode. I notice when changing it to dynamic or bright cinema the fan is a little louder, it also has a filter for the air on the side of the projector, this doesn't take away from the sound of the movie itself. The project does come equipped with a 10w speaker so it's okay for quiet settings but wouldn't recommend to watch movies with this speaker, it has an auxiliary in the back to connect your speakers, i did not see the option for Bluetooth sync up. Also if you sync up your iprojector app to the projector the sound will come out of the projector (if you are using your PC speakers for example it will start playing sound from the projector instead). It also comes with a usb, pc, dual hdmi(as mention above), and service connection. The image quality is great, lamp has up to 7,500 hours of lamp life in ECO mode and up to 4,500 hours of lamp life in normal mode for extended use. I looked up the replacement lamp price and it's not too expensive which is a great. I would recommend this projector to anyone! I just think they should work on their wireless iprojector app and add more features. I think i will use this projector with my hdmi devices. I can see myself watching movies with the family or watching sports events with my friends, a great projector!
