I wanted 4K and so even though this is not true 4K, the pixel shifting technology will blow you away! it looks identical to my 4K TV in my bedroom except that it's on a 125" screen!!!!! it's truly a treat! you have to experience it yourself! Make sure you upgrade your HDMI cable to 4K ones and make sure it's a FIBER cable if it's longer than 30'.

With every single device I had to connect it to any other display in my home, turn OFF HDR, then plug it back into this device or else I would get "HDMI 1: not Supported" on a completely grey screen. I say grey because the light bleed from this thing is obtuse. It is hard to call anything this projector does black when you can literally play shadow puppets on what should be a black screen.

This is my 3rd Epson and 1st with 4Keish resolution. One thing that is different from the earlier models is the SDR/HDR selection on the menu. It makes a real difference to change it depending on whether your watching a 4K or a 1080P Blu Ray. Setup was easy, a big advantage the Epson 3000 series has. Watch it in a dark room for best results.
