Projector is good but when I compared with One of the UST projector, I find Epson projector had issues with motion.

I love front projectors and I've own several over the years. The Epson - Home Cinema 3800 surpasses all in any category. Picture quality under any lighting is excellent. The incorporated speakers are good enough for a small size room. Very sharp image with no bleeding or washing of image. Very quiet fan and easy access back panel. A bit heavy to install, recommend two people job. No pictures will make justice to the quality of this projector, really need to see it in action to appreciate how nice the image looks.

The image quality of this projector is phenomenal. I have played movies, tv shows, video games, and even youtube video with great results! The projector hardware itself is pretty big at about the size of an office desk printer but the set up is really easy and quick. It connects very easily to bluetooth but the built in speakers are very good. They are located on the back which will impede sound quality if you are located in front of the projector but they are still booming loud and clear. There are a lot of other connections such as AUX input, HDMI, and USB connections. This is the projector you would really need for a nice family get together or school events where you want to watch high quality movies. The image gets all the way up to 4096 x 2160 if you have a big screen to place it on and even at that size you are getting fine detail. I would recommend this projector for anyone looking for a high end high resolution projector that doesn't want to spend more than $2000 for one. I can see many family and friend bbq's and holidays ending with movie night with owning this projector.

The Epson Home Cinema 3800 was a great options for a larger screen, but not paying the cost of most 4K displays over 65". This projector was a different step for me as I typically just upgraded between one TV standard to the next as they became more affordable, but when I started looking at the next TV I wanted to go with something a little larger in display for that Cinema feel but also something I can use for gaming. You got some fairly inexpensive options out there but I ended up going with a projector. The two HDMI inputs worked for me as most things either play directly from my UHD Blu Ray player or streamed from my console. Set up was fairly straight forward, there isn't anything to piece together if you are going to place it on a table top, if you're mounting the projector, you simply need to follow the guidelines from your mounting bracket. All of your basic controls are accessible on the projector itself, from focus to picture alignment and size. Others available on the included remote. After fitting my screen I then popped into some gaming, started with a solo game so I could select the HDR mode and Video mode. Overall I didn't need to tweak much as the picture was pretty amazing, even more so once I fine-tuned the focused. I have also set the projector lamp to the lowest light settings, as I keep the room fairly dark, so fan noise hasn't been much of an issue for me. I'm not certain what the refresh rate would equal to on this, if that's even a thing for projectors, but this projector had no problem displaying action sequences. My boys are all about superhero flicks and this does not disappoint, watching their favorite heroes on huge screen is so enjoyable for them. There are built in speakers on this projector, I use them briefly before playing online, since I will use a headset for chat and sound, most of the time I use my soundbar for audio, but having the flexibly to choose is great. I do want to check out the 300" view-able screen size unfortunately I haven't got to test that out yet, maybe try an outdoor movie night soon. This is my first dive into a projector and overtime will get more familiar with the specifics to them, but with the specs of the 3800, Epson won me over. This projector has great picture and flexibility, for the price, which makes it hard for me to think about replacing this with anything other than a newer model Epson down the line!

I hooked the Epson Home Cinema 3800 $K 3LCD projector up to my Laptop through HDMI and watched several You Tube videos and played around online using the projector as a giant PC screen, and then I hooked it up to my Oppo UDP 205 and watched several 4k movies, and I went out and purchased Venom in 4k just to see how well the dark scenes and black contrast would look. I also re-watched a few of my favorite 1080P Blu-Ray disks just because I was having so much fun watching movies with my new projector. Everything was nice and crisp, the picture is gorgeous, the colors are bright and vivid, it was super easy to get up and running. I used the included quick start guide, and had it on and playing in less than 10 minutes. The screen size and focus rings are on the front surrounding the projector lens, and just a quick twist left or right will adjust the picture to the screen, and there are two knobs on the top of the projector that when spun will raise and lower the picture, or will shift it left and right. I wanted to see how well the projector could do in brighter ambient light, so I set up my portable 80" screen in my kitchen with the overhead fluorescent light on, and the shades open on the windows, and the picture was still easily visible, and it still looked really well, but it did wash out just a little bit with the overhead light on. With just the light coming in through the windows the projector was bright enough that closing the shades barely made any difference, if at all that was noticeable, unless you were seriously trying to be nit picky. For the price point that this projector sits at, it's a strong contender for buying a projector instead of a TV, especially if you're considering going anything above 65" I would easily recommend this to anyone interested in getting a projector. The included speakers even sound really well. Add a small subwoofer and it would be a nice simple 2.1 set up that sounds as good as some of the mid range sound bars.

I’ve never owned a projector before and have never even seen anything projected other than business presentations . I honestly had no idea what I was in for. A week later, I’m completely blown away and no longer want to leave my apartment. My screen hadn’t arrived yet at the time I first tried this so I projected it directly to my blinds for the first 2 days. Even with no screen, I could tell this was something special. Set up was pretty simple. Was able to just put it on my desk, aim it all the wall and adjust to a nice straight, centered picture. First thing I connected was my 4K DVD player and popped in Jaws (regular bluray). I decided to wait for my screen before I tried 4K Living in an apartment, I’m not going to be able to ceiling mount it so I’m still working on a permanent placement strategy. For now, it’s sitting on the top shelf of my cat’s clmbing tree. It actually fits perfect and the cats don’t seem to mind. On day 3 my screen arrived, just a cheap one for now that I attached to the blinds but even with a cheap screen, picture was immensly improved, just by not having to see the individual blinds through the picture. Went with 120 inches and I feel like I'm in a theater now. Day 4: Hooked up my laptop to it and streamed a couple football games. Looked fantastic but I know it will look so much better once I get my cable box hooked into the system and get everything situated. Day 5: I’ve checked out a few 4K movies now. Jaw dropping – The Shining, Captain Marvel and Alien have blown my mind so far. I no longer want to go to work. Not forgetting 3D, I have about 60 3D movies that I haven’t watched in quite some time. My current 55 inch is 3D compatable but I seemed to get away from 3D for some reason. I decided to give it a shot with Journey To The Center of The Earth and my interest in 3D is completely renewed, WOW. The effects of 3D coming out of the screen were absolutely amazing. Makes we want to rewatch every 3D movie I have and order a bunch more. So glad I never sold them off. This projector is active 3D which I had always preferred anyway. Day 6: I’ve ordered a better screen and some Epson 3D glasses and will tear my entire living room apart and rebuild my home theater around a nice wall mounted screen beginning this weekend. We had movie night last night and watched The Wizard of Oz. First time ever seeing it on a large screen and was very happy with the results. Can’t recommend this enough. I’ve been talking about it all week with my co-workers to the point they probably want to tape my mouth shut. I can’t believe I’ve never had the pleasure of using a projector until now. Simply amazing!!

    Home Theater With Mobility

I have truly fell in love with my Epson Home Cinema 3800! This projector is ready to go straight from the box. Within in minutes of opening this thing up I rearranged my living room, hung up a screen, got the space as dark as possible and put on a good family movie. All I can say is I’m over the top with the picture it produces. The colors look amazingly true and in my opinion, it’s better than the $2500 television we have. I easily synced it to my Bose home speaker system and at the end of the movie every compared this set up to being at the movies. To really test the Epson 3800 we took it RV camping with us. This little gem did not disappoint at all. With a “home made” screen we displayed the movie on the side of my RV. Within minutes we had a small crowd around us enjoying our outdoor cinema. At the end of the movie, a lot of the fellow campers were raving about this projector. All in all this is the best projector I have ever owned and I’m sure Epson is going to find it hard to top this one. This is an excellent home theater unit with total mobility.

I was not sure if i was making the right choice. I wanted to go with the benq 4k HT3550 for better color and pixels. I decided to go with epson due to the flexibility in placement. I was really surprised with the brightness and clarity of the picture. DLP can produce double pixels but the image enhancement chip in epson is doing an exceptional job in brining the picture to life. Note: Availability and price of Benq OEM replacement lamp is really a con.

This Epson 3800 projector is a thing of beauty. Image is bright, vibrant and very crisp. The blacks aren't as deep as my 4k HDR TV, but I wasnt expecting complete perfection...and being able to have up to a 300" screen definitely makes up for that. Setup was relatively easy. The onboard speakers aren't great, but I was able to easily hook up my sound bar for a more cinematic audio. This projector has absolutely improved my family's in-home movie viewing for the better. Far surpassing my expectations.

I love this projector. My original plan was to use it in the garage for working out, and to use it in the back yard for parties, but I am so impressed with it, I may put a screen up in the living room as well. The setup was quick and easy, the picture looks amazing, even without a screen, and it switches inputs quickly and easily. I couldn't be happier!

So far so good with this projector! I upgraded from an Epson HC1040 which served me well and was/is a great projector. Recently I underwent various updates with my setup and the list item on the list was a new projector. Image is bright and clear though it does suffer from the little out of focus corners but nothing too noticeable at a good seating distance. You will be amazed at this projector will accomplish at this price point!
