Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Home Cinema 3800 4K 3LCD Projector with High Dynamic Range for its exceptional picture quality and brightness. Users find it relatively easy to set up and appreciate its minimal noise level and helpful HDR. However, some customers have reported issues with focus, particularly in the corners, and have noted that the projector is large and somewhat heavy. Additionally, a few users feel that the built-in speakers could be improved.

Worked great for our business presentation, easy to use and easy to set up. Even for a beginner this projector was simple and made our presentation really stand out.

Super quiet in eco mode. Very easy to adjust for focus and screen size. I would definitely recommend for this price range. Only con is the physical footprint which is a bit chunky.

I had the Epson 8350 for 6 years and had a great experience. 4K content on this is amazing, I am shooting a 130" diagonal 1:1 wall screen and the picture is so bright in Cinema mode I had to back it down. The review in projector central was extremely helpful in making my decision. I needed something quiet as it is mounted above the seating area. This projector rocks! I prefer to buy my electronics from a local retailer as I can always walk it back if it does not work out. 5 days after I purchased the projector went on sale and Best Buy cut me a check for over $200. Fantastic experience and great customer service. Enjoy!

To be completely honest, I’ve only used the projector one time...but I’m super impressed with the picture quality! I upgraded from an HD projector from 2005, and what a difference. The picture is bright even with ambient light in the room, and the contrast of light and dark on the picture is awesome. Setup was a breeze. I ceiling mounted it with a QualGear PRB-717 mount purchased from Amazon. I was apprehensive about a manual zoom and focus, but once it’s set, I shouldn’t have to touch it again.

There's a known issue with this projector that you can search online for more info but basically, this projector does not focus its entire image evenly. When u have the center focused perfectly, the outer edges become slightly blurred. If you get the left side focused perfectly, you'll notice the right side is slightly blurred and vice versa. It is extremely frustrating. You cannot get the entire image focused perfectly. You will ultimately have to settle for some of the image being somewhat out of focus. It doesn't matter how centered your projector is or which settings you adjust, you simply cant focus the entire picture. Don't just take my word for it, look it up yourself. You'll find plenty of people online who have had the same experience. Read their reviews. Its unfortunate because the brightness and color are hard to beat but a sharp picture is absolutely necessary in my opinion. I do not recommend this projector. sorry

Works identical to my previous 2 projectors, but I thought the price should be less with other technology (laptops, tvs, etc.) items decreasing. I went shopping for a standard large tv, but the salesman convinced me I would not be happy after having had a projector for 25 years. I am not convinced. My other 3 tv sets have equal quality pictures.

The image quality is nothing short of stunning. Resolution provides crisp, sharp visuals with vibrant colors and deep blacks. Whether we're watching movies, playing video games, or streaming our favorite shows, the picture quality is consistently impressive. Even in a dimly lit basement, the images remain clear and vibrant.

This projector exceeded my very high expectations! The image quality is top notch. It’s large and bright. It is definitely HD. It was purchased for outdoor use, and we are projecting onto a large white wall without the use of a projector screen. I did a lot of research and was really hoping for the best, but I’m thrilled & in awe. Also, pro tip: we are using a Sonos Move for audio. The way that we do this is by connecting the projector to an Apple TV and connecting the Apple TV to the Move. Voila!

Initial impression is that it looks like an expensive projector out of the box! The picture quality is great, it's bright, works well in my bright living room with the lights on. I combined it with an Apple TV and they play together very well to the point that I can turn on and off the projector with the Apple TV remote. I bought this after returning a BenQ TK850i

Purchased on sale. This projector has been excellent, no issues, great picture, not a true 4K projector as it upscales to 4K and it does a great job at it. Great bang for the buck.

The epson 3800 projector is very bright and still looks good when the lights are on in the basement. PC and PS4 games look awesome on a 145" screen. Refresh rate of 60fps @ 4k with no noticeable lag. I was going to buy the epson 4010 until I realized it will not play 4k content at 60fps. The epson 3800 is a stout projector for gaming and steaming netflix with its native 16:9 aspect ratio, "4k," 60fps. For the price, it exceeded my expectations.

Could not be more pleased with this projector. Picture quality is simply unbelievable at a diagonal size of 102 inches, projecting 120 inches from ceiling mount (with the V12H808001) onto a bare wall. Highly adjustable to compensate for lighting and mounting variances. In a well-lit room with LED can lights on there's minimal washout during the morning, evening or overcast mid-day. However, noticeable washout occurs with can lights off on clear days in the afternoon within a room of 5ft x 7ft windows covered by standard blinds. Room darkening shades is the answer although we used for several months without. We have it mounted 4 feet in front of and 4 feet above our ears when seated in our favorite spot. Fan noise is not noticeable at this range, although if closer it may be depending on your preference. Bear in mind you'll need an eARC adapter (such as 4K Arcana 18Gbps by HD Fury) to split the signal from your streaming box to connect a soundbar such as the Sonos Beam Gen 2. In such as a case you will not have a visual means of volume level, although for us this has not been an issue at all. We are so pleased with this projector as our primary means of video entertainment and will never go back to a legacy screen experience.

Great projector. Quiet and has a great picture especially for the price. Fairly easy to set up. One minor issue is that I couldn't get it to project at an angle from my ceiling, so the whole projector has to be angled down to get the picture to fit right. Mild issues with the screen adjustment, but works great so far!!
