Customers are saying
Customers highly value the Home Cinema 3800 4K 3LCD Projector with High Dynamic Range for its exceptional picture quality and brightness. Users find it relatively easy to set up and appreciate its minimal noise level and helpful HDR. However, some customers have reported issues with focus, particularly in the corners, and have noted that the projector is large and somewhat heavy. Additionally, a few users feel that the built-in speakers could be improved.

An amazing projector under $1800
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent projector for its price range. Picture quality is incredible, even when just displaying the image on a wall. I haven't put up our screen yet, but I imagine it only looks a lot better against it. The built-in speakers are good enough until you're able to hook it up to a home theater system. Blu-ray movies, Xbox One X games and even YouTube TV looks amazing! I was back and forth between this and a refurbished Epson 5050UB, but I'm very happy with my decision. It was one of the few projectors at this price that had 18gbps HDMI on it (HDMI 2.0b). Easy to set up with many options to customize.

Great projector!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually bought the 3800 to see how much of a resolution difference from my 2045. The 2045 looks great, BTW The plan was compare them and see if much I improvement and then return it. Change of plan, since the resolution is far better and movies literally look better on it that in theaters. Also like the Bluetooth, since automatically connects to my LG sound bar and turns on my Shield TV and Blu-ray player that are connected to the two HDMI ports. The HDR looks great and upscaling of 720 and 1080p video is stunning. Contrast is better than expected as well. Worthy purchase!

Bright Projector
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is bright, use it in darkened basement, however some light does not degrade the picture. It is not 4K, however when a properly coded HDR 4k disk, it does very well. It is good for the price. 1080P looks very good. Very happy overall with the price, had only for 1 month.

OK Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from an Epson Home Cinema 3500. Purchased a fiber HDMI cable for the 30 foot run. Picture quality is better than the 3500 and HDR is nice but not like moving from LED to OLED. I know this is "fake" 4K but was hoping for a bit better quality.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic picture. The lens shift creates a picture that isn’t entirely square if you overuse it. The Bluetooth audio has a lag so that it isn’t in sync with the picture but with a cable it’s fine. Movies and sports show great on it.

Excellent Projector!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this so we could watch TV outside by the pool. We watched a movie a couple weeks ago showing it against the house and the picture was great! The sound is good for what is on-board and you can use Bluetooth or connected speakers to get better sound. We bought a fire stick to go with it and it works well too. We started using it in the family room especially on Sundays with the RedZone playing on the projector and out team's football game on the regular TV. Best of both worlds!

Epson Home Cinema 3800 Projector
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Delivery to home was very fast. Set up was easy and quality of the image is great. The manual adjustments permitted easy projection adjustments to fit the 110" screen. Even though the projector is located above and just behind our seating the projector noise was not noticeable. Would purchase again.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from an Epson 2030. Amazing improvement. Solid 4K projector for the money. The staff will make some snide crack about it being "Faux K" and not a true 4K projector like the Sony. Ignore them, and read the reviews on projector central.net. There is no discernible difference between the pixel shift 4K enhanced and the full 4K resolution projectors. This has impressive brightness and picture for the price. It's bright enough to even have a few lights on in the room without washing out the image on a basic screen. The Remote is also light years better than previous Epson remotes.
