Great for sports and movies. Don’t skimp and get the lesser unit. This one can do it all

This replaced a Marantz VP-15S1. Projecting a 120 inch diagonal on a ScreenGloo grey surface, sitting 11 ft (a bit close). Shifted down about 3 feet. Excellent light output - can be used with moderate ambient light. Dolby Vision is great. Very good colors. It is NOT a 4k display, more like a 2k (1080 with pixel shifting) with small rainbow at the edges. Clarity is great for fairly still/stable scenes but degrades noticeably in motion scenes on 4k source compared to my LG OLED659PUA. I'd prefer a Sony true 4k but their light output isn't there even for $5-6k. Great that the bulb lasts so long and is common/cheap to replace.

This is my second epson projector, I had the 5030ub for 7 years. This new model is light years ahead of the 5030. And even though it isn't a 4k chip all of my equt recognizes it as 4k and I can't tell a difference from true 4k chip projectors.
