We have used a few of these projectors at work and honestly, we couldn't be happier with them. Epson makes a quality product that performs great and lasts! The projector is easy to configure and has just enough connections for a simple home theater or outdoor setup. Another HDMI would be nice but at this price point, can't really complain. Colors are vibrant and unless you are in a very bright room it has deep and rich colors. Obviously the built in speakers aren't much but they will work in a pinch. Anyone with a HD setup should have another audio option already. The 720p argument. Honestly, this unit is projecting around a 100" screen and it would be hard to distinguish between this and a 1080p projector casting the same signal. How do I know this? Because I've seen the same signal on our other 1080p Epson projector. So don't sweat it, save a few bucks, pick this one up, and enjoy :)

It work really well, however corners were cut with this model the previous had 2 hdmi ports. This one is also a lot harder to cast at angle versus the previous model I had.

    My First Projector

I had always wanted a projector and this is my first try. I love to have people over for football, and I have a 40" LED in my living room. I set this up next to the TV to do a side by side comparison. I know it is not fair to make a total comparison of course. My TV, is small and we set up the screen for about 8 feet. during football the LED has a pretty good response rate. I think the projector showed a very good picture. There was some blur in the action. I used the built in speakers with the TV, and pretty decent. The built in speaker for the projector was very lacking. The TV can offer 7.1 speaker placement. The projector is RCA only (OK for football but for a movie this would not be ideal). I have DirecTV and attached the cable box to my TV and brought in a wireless one for the projector and used the HDMI for watching tv. The setup was easy. My TV has 4 HDMI, The projector only has 1 HDMI in total. I didn't make the living room too dark. the projector did have a decent picture even in the light. There are some limitations, but once I hook a Roku to this and add external sound this will be great for game days.

For its maiden voyage, I set the projector up in the back yard with an old screen that I used for my super 8 projector. It worked great. I had my streaming device hooked up to in in moments, and I watched some of my favorite tv, animated series as the sun set. I had no problems getting the picture right and really enjoyed how portable the projector turned out to be.

The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 760HD was packaged very well and came with the components identified on packaging. It's a light weight unit, but not low on power or usability. Nice HD output from my computer on movies and digital pictures. The clarity was quite good. I still need to test a large output with the projector being 8-10+ feet away, but having only 4 ft away from my "screen" (... a blank wall...), it had a nice sized screen (almost 4ft wide). My only complaints about the projector was that there was a lot of heat coming from the unit and it was a bit noisy, but if I were 8-10 feet away from it, these problems would probably disappear. Also, the "plug & play" aspect of a Flash Drive (of movies) didn't work for me because all of my saved movies are in .mp4 format and apparently the projector only uses .avi (that I don't have). The only complaint about the "package" was that it didn't include any cables (USB or HDMI). That was my only time delay on getting this projector up and running, because I had to acquire a USB (PC to USB-B) cable. I haven't tested HDMI because I am awaiting the arrival of that cable too. Once I had the correct cable to connect the projector to my all-in-one PC and had the software installed, it was a breeze to use. Nice product!

The projector is lightweight and small enough to easily transport. Setup was a breeze. I connected a HDMI cable (not included) to my desktop computer and had a second display up in running in minutes. The adjustments for viewing size, orientation and focus are simple and the instructions are easy to follow. The resolution and color quality is top notch and the unit is not very loud. The front vent does produce a considerable amount of heat so make sure it has plenty of room. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quality projector at a good price.
