Good but not great.

I us in a home theater so eco mode provides plenty of light. The only issue, very disappointing, is I have the projector set to the side. The problem is, while it does adjust keystone for the picture it still allows light on the sides. There is no good way to correct this. While I have a good black background around the screen for most unless you have the projector placed in the middle you will have light outside of the screen.

Epson Home Cinema 880

I did not like this projector

My old projector was a Optima hd142x which since has been discontinued. I exchanged the Epson for the Optima hd146x which is the newer model of my old projector. There is a difference between DLP and LCD. The Epson Home Cinema 880 is a LCD which was noisy when it was on and the bulb would dim completely black where a commercial would be in a TV show. Also the colors would constantly dim so dark scenes were even darker. The Epson was also so bright the light of the lamp extended beyond my screen which was a little distracting and lit up the whole room. The Epson worked well for gaming!
