Amazing Bright Images. External Audio Forgotten

The first thing that impressed me was the brightness of this Epson Pro EX7260 projector. The room I usually use for projection is dark but I also tested this projector in a well-lit room with wide windows on 3 sides during a somewhat sunny day and the image was clear with very bright colors. Tests with an iPhone, an iPad and a laptop using the projector wireless capability proved to be very reliable and easy to use. It decreases cable clutter and for me it was the most desirable feature. I am tired of swapping cables every time I need to project anything and now I do not need to do that anymore. With most mobile devices, all you need to set them up is to scan the on-screen QR code. It could not be any easier than that. For those devices that are not wireless, you will find an HDMI, a VGA and even a Component video, which should not exist anymore in my opinion but it is there if you need it. The wireless remote is useful and easy to use. Although you could use it for a home theater, it was clearly designed for business presentation and it does not disappoint as such. I personally would recommend it for that type of use only. For a home theater, it would have to support 1080p or higher. Otherwise, a 1680 x 1050 maximum resolution is perfect for any presentation, even with videos. Here’s the disappointing side: it does not come with any audio output except for the built-in 2-Watt speakers. It would be great if it supported Bluetooth to connect external speakers to it but that is not an option either. Overall, it is an excellent projector with bright images and eye-catching colors. 3600 Lumens is probably good even for outdoor on a sunny day although I did not test it under such a condition. It is the best professional LDP projector I have tried recently when it comes to brightness but I cannot get over the lack of audio output for external speakers and the video slowness when streamed from a mobile device. I still recommend it but keep in mind those shortcomings.

I already own a Epson 2150 Home Cinema projector, so much of my review is comparing the two. Until recently, the 2150 was used daily with Roku. It worked well, but not very good in well lighted rooms. The EX7260 was a surprise as it works well in both light and dark conditions. Being they are both 3LCD projector, I thought they would be about the same. The EX7260 has more lumens and I'm guessing that's why it outperforms the home cinema unit. Like the 2150, it has great color and whites for a projector. Blacks are good, but it depends on the ambient light. I found it difficult to use the windows and android apps. Getting the software to find the projector can be tedious, but once you figure it out, it works fairly well. In testing, I sat it on an angle to the screen and adjusting it to a rectangle was easy with a slide of the switch, but their was a light outer rectangle that wouldn't go away. Not sure what that is, but when shot directly at the screen, you don't see it. I was able to add the software to my Windows 10 laptop, my Pixel phone as well as my Chromebook. They all streamed to the unit, albeit a bit of a pain to get it to work. One thing I found worrisome is the loud fan when the unit is powering up. It is really loud until the Epson logo appears and then it calms down. I didn't experience that with my 2150 and thought something may be wrong. I think it's just this is a more compact unit. The 2150 is a bit bulky and weights a few more pounds that the 5 1/2 lbs the EX7260 comes in at. The unit comes with a nice light fabric case, USB cable, VGA pc cable, remote and batteries. Obviously you'd want to have or purchase HDMI cable(s) if you get this unit. It only has one HDMI port, so if you have multiple sources, you'd want to get a switch too. Overall I'd say this is a good projector to recommend to someone that needs it for work or wants one around the house for movie night. It has great color and works in rooms that you can darken easily.

Great for Normal Uses, Not with Epson App

The Epson Pro EX7260 720p 3LCD Projector is an excellent choice for it's price range. The image is bright, especially the colors. Keep in mind that this is not 4k resolution, but I find the movies I watch on it to be clear and crisp. Although the included speakers provide usable sound, they are not meant for normal use. The basic set up is quick and straightforward - exactly as expected. Connecting via a wide choice of cables and inputs was simple. The remote control provides easy access to a large selection of features. It was up and running within minutes. It also comes with a useful carrying case which enhances the practical portability of the unit. The one area I found disappointing was the wireless features for working with computers and mobile devices. I was able to get it working and use the Epson iProjection app to project photos, files, browser pages and a live camera feed. However, the text was unreadable when zoomed. On the other hand, text from my Roku was crisp on the screen. The app will show PowerPoint or Keynote files, but without animations. It's possible that this may be mostly due to a poor app and could be improved in the future. However, I would not recommend this projector for using it's built-in wireless solution. I suspect that using this with a Chromecast stick or Apple TV for sending to the screen would work much better. Unfortunately, I did not get to try either of these before writing this review. So, aside from it's built-in wireless solution (iProjection app), I am impressed by the image quality and simplicity of basic set-up.

I have owned a projector before but this one is a great upgrade. This newer model has a connections for USB cable, HDMI cable (you can also buy a seperate MHL cable to support tablets/smartphones/other portable devices), VGA cable and an audio cable. There is also a 2W speaker on this product but I highly recommend using an external sound system if you have more than 10 people in the room. There is also a disk that is included to guide you to links to the projector manuals and software. In the box also is the power cord, vga cord and usb cable, a carrying bag and a remote. One of the great things that I always love with any product is plug and play. The remote included is also very easy to set up, as well as the wireless connection. Once everything is hooked up and turned on, the picture quality is great!(800 x 600 SVGA resolution is the tech spec.) This product is pretty light and with the carrying case and I can definitely see myself carrying with me for family gatherings and other work functions to share information from my laptop and phone. Would I buy this product again, yes! Would I recommend this to friends and family, yes! I think that a lot of my family members will enjoy me bringing this product to our family gatherings!

    Family adores the Pro EX7260!

The family been using this projector and love it to death! Truthfully my family hates hooking things up together but this project has few I/O ports. At first, I thought this would have been a limiting factor but it wasn't because it allows my family to set it up and start using it quickly. We use a Cinema 2150 as the main projector as since this is pretty much a mini version of that its easy to use and work with. In the box comes a quick start guide to help you set up this protector as quickly as you can. While this is great it’s better for you to manually set it up according to your eyes. There are a ton of buttons and switches on the top of the Pro EX7260. You can close the lens/mute the AV with one switch, the Lens shift gauges allow you to properly project the images onto the wall, power button, Home button, Keystone controls, Menu button, Source button, Vol controls, and an Esc button. All of these are perfect and if you lose the remote most of the main controls are here. Picture quality is phenomenal when projected on to a display. I used an Xbox One hooked up to this projector and it looked amazing when playing games or watching Blu-ray movies.. The black levels are deep and nice while the projector display colors that are beautiful. Everything displayed on the Pro EX7260 pops out at you even in 720p. The projector itself is very small and compact but heavy, it's enough for you to carry around where you need to though. I picture something like the Pro EX7260 would work perfectly in the backyard or at a beach party on a summer day. Watched Planet Earth 2 that gushes out with a stunning color and you can see the hair detail on the animals. Played games like Forza Horizon 3 and it was eye-catching with color. YouTube/Netflix look stunning. There is no doubt this projector can handle content extremely well with a wide range of colors. The 2W speaker isn't good at all but it will do in extreme portability situations on the go. Ports in the back include USB-A, USB-B, A/V Inputs, PC VGA, and only 1 HDMI port which isn't really a big deal given the uses for this projector. Setting it up was fairly easy, most of my time was spent Keystone the right angle...other than that the setup depends on you and how you want it angle. Bottom line the picture quality is strictly amazing. There is so much detail in this little projector making it vibrant and lush on a large scale. Another good use for this Pro EX7260 is sports which works out perfect for big games. Love gaming on a big screen? This can handle it just fine. Love watching movies with the family? This is the ultimate entertainment content viewing projector. Yes, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to enhance their personal viewing experience. Awesome product again!!!

Great projector for office or bright environment. You can have all the lights on, blinds open etc and this guy is such a beast. Download the app and with a couple minutes you can be streaming to your projector. Its so fast and easy to set up. Lightweight and compact, comes with everything you need except for a HDMI cable. But if using wireless then you wouldn't need one anyway. Do not plan on getting this for a home theater, you will be disappointed, there is no audio out and the kn board speaker as you can imagine is mediocre at best. But all in all its a great projector for the office.

his is a review for the Epson EX7260 Wireless projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This Epson EX7260 is a very nice projector with several outstanding features. This projector has a great lamp. I've tried it in all kinds of lighting situations and it's always bright enough to see. No more presenting in a dark room where your audience can't see to take notes. Turn the room lights on, open the shades and let the sun in, this projector is up to the task. It has a beautiful picture at a reasonable distance. I've been projecting on a 100 inch screen (just over 8 feet) at about an 8 foot distance, and still get a bright, gorgeous image. Video is also very clear and precise, with absolutely no lag. As for set-up, it was extremely easy. Upon plugging in the HDMI cable from my laptop it instantly switched over to the correct input. It also has plenty of inputs. Yes there's HDMI but there's also old fashioned PC cable, S-video, and other choices. As for the feature I liked the most, it would definitely be the wireless connectivity. It took under 5 minutes to work through the network connection and get my iPhone app set to project via the Epson App, which works flawlessly. The wifi on it is 11b/g/n so with an "n" access point, your connection should be more than fast enough for full motion video at this resolution.

I'll admit, I don't have much (read: no) experience with projectors, so for those other first time users, this will, hopefully, be relatable. This Epson Pro EX7260 projector probably wouldn't be your first choice if you were in the market for a projector for home or casual use. This is clearly a professional-level projector, and there are a myriad of lesser priced machines out there (with fewer options). But if you have the funds, and are looking for a machine you can grow into, this may be the one. This projector has an impressive, professional look. The projector comes with USB and VGA cables included. It baffles me that there isn't an HDMI cable included in the box. So, if you are using a computer, or other device for your presentation, and that device has an HDMI port, you'll have to buy your own cable. Either that or go scrounging through your junk drawer for one. The projector comes encased in a padded, canvas carrying case. The padding should protect your projector from incidental bumps and bruises, but not from drops (from ANY height). With most devices nowadays, the projector has a downloadable app, which surprisingly, isn't terrible. Not great, but not terrible. While it took no time at all to connect my computer to the projector, via the not-included HDMI cable, it was a wee bit more of a chore to get it up and running on my iPad. The Quick Setup instructions walked me through the setup pretty well, though. There was a minor time lag on the display between my iPad and the projector, but in my case, it was forgivable. The projector connected to my wireless network without a hitch, and in no time at all I was displaying internet web pages via my iPad. The projector's speaker is pedestrian, to say the least. If your presentation is heavily dependant on sound quality, you'd better connect a separate speaker. If your projector is not directly facing the wall, and is at an angle, you'll see a trapezoid shaped image on your wall. But there is a slider switch on top of the projector that will allow you to change the aspect of the image back to a perfect rectangle. I don't know if they all do that, but I thought it was pretty neat. All in all, I am extremely happy with the Epson Pro 7260 projector. The display is very bright and the images are clear. Setup was fairly easy. Highly recommended!
